see. this is the westbound lanes. this is hamilton township. sky 10 was over the scene a short time ago. one person died in that accident and six others were thrown from the vehicle or vehicles. jillian mele has more and what this means for drivers in the area. jillion? >> causing a big headache for drivers. atlantic city expressway on the westbound side is closed approaching exit 28. i'm not sure if we can get you that video again. this is what is happening right now. a little bit confusing on the westbound side for drivers stuck out there. at the accident scene itself, it is closed and some of that traffic that has been stuck behind this accident scene. officials are allowing some of that traffic to get by using one lane. miles down the road on the westbound side at the egg harbor toll plaza, that is where all traffic is being sent off of the highway and then for the drivers stuck between the two points, they're being forced to turn around at the service plaza, head eastbound on the expressway

nbc 10 breaking news. we continue to follow this breaking news on the atlantic city expressway. right now the highway is closed. this is hamilton township. a deadly crash in the westbound lanes. sky 4 was over the scene. one person died after the pickup truck overturned and six others were thrown from that pickup truck. police tell us that two of the people hurt were children. nbc 10 first alert traffic reporter jillian mele has been watching the developments and people trying to get around the area. jillian? >> a lot of people sitting on the highway for a very long time. this was video of the accident from a short time ago. a huge delay on the westbound side as you approach this accident scene. this is video from a little while ago. westbound atlantic city
