other kids. the issue with parents coaching from the sidelines and yelling and criticizing ref reeereerefe disruptive for the whole team. a tennis coach said it's about bound ris. would you go into your kids' classroom and teach while the teacher is in charge? are you giving instructions at piano lessons? no. why do we do it at sports? parents get so excite and had are coaching from the sidelines, criticizing the players and other referees. it's just not good practice. >> you've seen that, right? >> yeah, it's all about balance. we want our kids to have this fuel to win. you hear the buzzword, grit. we want them to have that, but also balance. they can't be snots that can't win. >> you want them to persevere, but also persevere with appreciation. >> it's a challenge. >> sometimes not during the game, but maybe setting up a time after the game, when all the heat is off, sit down and have a conversation and say, when you do that, i know it doesn't motivate our kids. it is amotivating.
