sunshine. just like the last couple days. look at the turnaround. south jersey in the low 60s. along the shore, a bit cooler. we'll have that easterly wind like we had yesterday. for philadelphia, up to 66 degrees. that's this afternoon. what's going on now is we have frost in the suburbs with temperatures dropping overnight. a little bit of humidity in the air. we're seeing the frost form, not just in the pennsylvania suburbs, also in delaware and south jersey. your hour by hour forecast, warm and sunny. 9:00 in philadelphia, 52. low 61s by 1:00 this afternoon. the pennsylvania suburbs, chillier to begin with at 9:00, into the low 60s at 1:00. middle 60s this afternoon. lehigh valley, same story, plenty of sunshine into the 60s this afternoon.

delaware, low 60s today. south jersey making it into the low 60s by 1:00 in the afternoon. chillier morning for new jersey at the shore, 53 degrees at 1:00. the high temperature of 55 degrees this afternoon. your neighborhood by neighborhood forecast just got a lot more detailed. i'll have a look at the next five days when i come back in the next few minutes. >> we're watching the schuylkill expressway around city avenue. big accident scene here. getting off on the off-ramp. this is headed from the schuylkill expressway westbound. this is a sharp curve for anybody who knows or typically takes this exit ramp. so car actually moved over to the side and crashed into the side median. several police cars on the scene. ramp is not closed right now. traffic is getting through the area. they have road flares out. police officers are into the center median here. so, this is the traffic here going towards the schuylkill expressway. no backups there. this is the traffic headed

towards the ramp. more updates in the next ten. >> thank you. new from overnight, a row home fire in philadelphia sent a man to the hospital. nbc 10 was on scene of marvin street in the logan section of philadelphia. the fire broke out around 11:00 last night. crews did get it under control within minutes. the fire damaged three homes there. we're told the victim is being treated for mild smoke inhalation. investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. to the point, one-timer. deflectio deflection. >> the quest for the cup begins with a loss. the flyers fell 2-0 to the capitols in the playoff opener in washington last night. game two is in washington tomorrow night. the flyers came into the contest with heavy hearts. it was their first game since the death of founder and chairman ed snider. matt delucia is live for us at the wells fargo center in south philadelphia with a recap of the

game. good morning, matt. >> good morning. the flyers lost but there's still plenty of time left and maybe this will help. there will be a rally later today over in bala cynwyd at 1 bala plaza. that's happening at noon. maybe that will give the flyers the luck they need to come back in the series. let's talk about that game last night. the pregame in d.c. featured a video tribute to ed snider who died monday morning. the flyers wore his initials on their jerseys. fans at the official flyers launch party appreciated that moment but experienced frustration during the game. one fan told us he permanently colored his beard orange for the playoffs hoping the orange and black will come back to win the series. >> this is huge, it became bigger, unfortunately when ed snider passed away. the team has to rally around that fact and i think they will. i think they know what is at stake.

night game. they play the cowboys on sunday night football on october 30th that is an nbc 10 game. in late november, another monday nighter this one at the linc against the packers. a home game on thursday, december 22nd against the giants, which you can also see right here on nbc 10. the preseason schedule is also out. bucs, steelers, colts and jets. the final two games you can watch here on nbc 10, your official eagles station. legendary singer diana ross is back on stage after she was injured in a car crash here in our area. you can see ross in these pictures taken moments after the crash on wednesday. ross was on her way to a performance at the sands event center in bethlehem. police say an suv ran a stop sign and collided with her limo. ross said she's a little sore after that. she did go on with the show in bethlehem and another one in rhode island last night. she tweeted this out yesterday. i was involved in a car

accident, but i am fine. i ask you not to worry. i'll see you at the show in providence. it's 4:07. today the bill cosby case has another hearing in philadelphia federal court. the judge will consider a request by andrea constan, the former temple employee who accuses cosby of sexually assaulting her more than a decade ago. she wants the secrecy clause in her settlement lifted. each side says the other violated that pact. this morning philadelphia police continue to investigate the shooting and killing of an 83-year-old woman. officers were called to the woman's home in germantown yesterday and found her with two gunshot wounds to the chest. investigators confirmed her husband was at home at the time and they also say a gun was found in the house. police have made no arrests. a beautiful day yesterday

with lots of sunshine. we're getting another frosty start this morning. the temperatures have come way down, just like yesterday morning. most of the area is in the 30s. exception is philadelphia international at 43 degrees. allentown now 38. wilmington 39 degrees. look atlantic city, it's at 33 degrees now. vineland has dropped below freezing this morning. it will be turning warmer over the next few days. the jet stream pushed way to the north that will give us a surge of air, timed perfectly for the weekend. you can see that by the seven-day scrolling at the bottom of the screen. now, right now temperatures are coming down. there's 38 degrees in lehigh valley. pennsylvania suburbs at 34 degrees. some of the coldest spots are in new jersey. piney hollow, 31 degrees. just below freezing for lumberton and pemberton at 33. here's your hour by hour neighborhood by neighborhood

weekend. monday, that's when we'll really feel the temperatures come up. 80 degrees on monday a good warmup at the shore. there's your seven-day. when i come back a look at our exclusive ten-day forecast. >> looking forward to that. it's 4:11, so i would venture to say that traffic is pretty light on the roads. jessica has a look at schuylkill expressway flashing lights behind you. >> we are watching an accident scene, this is the schuylkill expressway headed westbound off of the city avenue off-ramp. that ramp is not closed, we have a vehicle that went off into the shoulder and ran into the cement barrier there. again, this is on the off-ramp. traffic is not blocked. headed westbound on the schuylkill expressway, no big delays there. no delays behind this scene. you can see the ramp is still open to traffic. it's just a slow go. especially on this ramp specifically, we have a sharp curve as you get off.

welcome back. in monmouth county the red cross is helping displaced tenants of an apartment building after an explosion caused by roach killing spray. it all started wednesday night when someone in the home sprayed insecticide to kill roaches there. the fumes and a spark from a lit stove caused the explosion. it was strong enough to blow out the first floor apartment's windows. no one was seriously hurt. and the roach spray did not work on the cockroach problem. a parole panel in california is recommending one of charles manson's followers be released after decades spent in prison. a jury convicted leslie va van houten and other manson cult members of killing a wealthy grocer and his wife in 1969, van

houten described his client as numb when they heard the decision. if the recommendation passes an administrative review it goes to the governor who has the final say. van houten was 20 years old when manson members went on a summer-long killing spree in and around the l.a. area. 4:16. decision 2016. after debating last night, the democratic candidates for president are thousands of miles away and an ocean apart. senator bernie sanders is headed to rome for a vatican conference on social policy. hillary clinton will be fund-raising in california. the candidates battled it out on stage in brooklyn last night, just five days before the new york primary. sanders challenged clinton on criminal justice reform and middle east policy. while clinton took issue with sanders on gun control and his support for president obama. a major point of the contention came on campaign finance and wall street influence.

. welcome back. today marks the anniversary of a victory in the civil rights movement. on april 15, 1947 baseball great jackie robinson broke the color barrier and played for the brooklyn dodgers. today people in philadelphia will come together to honor robinson's legacy. the annual jackie robinson day ceremony takes place this afternoon at the philadelphia stars negro lead memorial park. though robinson was not from philadelphia, organizers say the mission is to remember his legacy and educate kids today. 900 am wurd is one of those organizers. >> that's why this event is so important to our community. why we are here, we'll be broadcasting live so we can amplify the message not only to
