cream might have swayed me. we'll see. >> reporter: this week every presidential candidate will court voters in pennsylvania ahead of tuesday's primary. ted cruz made his pitch last night. hillary clinton is in philadelphia today. bernie sanders and john kasich are set to arrive in pennsylvania tomorrow. and donald trump will make a stop on friday. >> both parties with no front-runner having secured the nomination at this stij of the game is very, very unusual. >> reporter: which is why pennsylvania has now become a part of each campaign's white house strategy. >> i think when people take the time to come into areas like this and do their thing, you know, that's a way better connection than you're going to get otherwise. >> reporter: the goal is to sway undecided voters any way they can. >> do you think that you have enough information to make up your mind? >> i don't know. it's a hard decision for me. i don't know. i got a lot of thinking to do. >> reporter: now, analysts say while the nominee may become

clearer, the race won't be over even after tuesday's primary. this could be a long haul especially in the republican race. reporting live from the steps of the art museum, aundrea cline-thomas, nbc 10 news. for completely decision 2016 coverage including the latest delegate counts and upcoming primaries and caucuses tap the nbc 10 app. police in upper darby found a gun inside a locker at bonner and prendergast high school. school administrators told nbc 10 they got a tip that a student brought a gun and drugs to school. students were put on lockdown as police searched the school. they also found bullets and marijuana. guilty of dui. a south jersey judge ruled today a philadelphia nun was, in fact, drunk behind the wheel last fall. sister kimberly miller learned her fate in washington township municipal court this morning. her driving privileges were suspended for 90 days. dash cam video of her arrest spoke volumes to the judge.

he side with prosecutors who pointed to her conduct that day as well as a strong odor of alcohol and trained cops who testified she was drunk. reports were that sister kimberly took an ambien and was asleep behind the wheel. >> when you have no knowledge of what you're doing because you took a legitimate prescription medication, and that's different than going to a bar, getting so drunk you walk out and you fall on your face, you get in your car and you drive. >> i hope she can come back because everyone here will definitely welcome her and be glad to have her back, either way. >> sister kim remains on administrative leave from teaching. the archdiocese plans to review today's ruling. miller must also pay $650 in fines and complete driving school. new at 6:00, nbc 10 gets answers. we're asking the d.a. why a man suspected of shooting a philadelphia police officer this

week was out on the street at all. earlier this week nbc 10 uncovered documents showing scott griffin was released on gun charges back on april 12th after witnesses failed up to testify against him. griffin's accused of shooting and wounding officer james mccullough in west philadelphia five days later. griffin has 14 prior arrests. nbc 10's monique braxton spoke with the d.a. today about the events that allowed griffin to walk free. what did he say? >> reporter: hi there. the philadelphia district attorney said he has done some restructuring here. we've learned there is no longer a so-called gun court. the d.a. says he plans to review the facts of scott griffin's former case. >> we're trying to do all that we can every day to ensure that fewer cases are being discharged for lack of prosecution and fewer cases are being discharged for lack of evidence. >> reporter: according to court documents, lack of evidence or loe was the reason given when a gun case against scott griffin was dismissed on april 12th.

we learned witnesses didn't show up to testify against the 23-year-old. griffin was set free even though he has a criminal history. now he's under arrest for shooting 18th district officer james mccullough. >> on the week after this guy was released on to the streets, he's accused of shooting a police officer and found with the weapon. >> we are very, very vigilant. we're before judges in the criminal justice center and we ask for continuances. we try to explain to them the reasons why we're not ready and why cases should not be thrown out. we always have a balance between the individual's vit rites and public safety. >> reporter: but were the rights of a man with 14 prior arrests on gun theft and drug charges balanced against the community's public safety? griffin allegedly shot mccullough in the leg when the officer intervened in a carjacking. district attorney seth williams also points to a larger city problem. witness and victim intimidation. he's called on secret grand

juries when necessary. >> when we get information that a witness or a victim feels intimidated or has been threatened, then we can make motion to the court to put the case before the indicting grand jury. >> reporter: williams says he's met with mccullough and his family. he's also assigned a veteran prosecutor to the case. >> trying to improve the system to ensure safety on our streets is of it most import here. >> reporter: now, griffin's next court appearance is in may. we'll be here and let you know what happens. monique braxton, nbc 10 news. in a surprise move today embattled pennsylvania attorney kathleen kane withdrew a key motion in court. kane appeared before a judge at the montgomery cot courthouse this morning. her lawyers withdrew a motion that accused prosecutors of leaking fbi recordings to a newspaper. those recordings alleged i show kane knowingly leaked confidential information. she's accused of leak the material and lying about it.

her trial is set for august. a woman accused in a deadly hit and run last year was officially charged in court. jennifer coyle made no comment as she walked into court. prosecutors say she hit and killed andrew miller back on october 28th. she turned herself in the next day telling police she thought she hit a deer. happening now, a traffic nightmare. that's how some drivers describe the drive south from the new jersey side of the delaware memorial bridge. this span from new jersey over to delaware has been reduced to just one lane to cut the weight on the bridge. inspectors discovered three suspension cables that need to be repaired right away. and unfortunately, that means traffic has been stacking up for miles around pennsville, even overflowing from the on ramps. safety comes first, though. most drivers understand that. but they say they wish they had known to avoid the area. >> gave no indication of the

asian tigers are capable of carrying zika, although there are still many unknowns about how well they can spread the virus. >> we're always looking for answers. but one way that we do that is with surveillance and testing mosquitoes. >> reporter: it can cause severe birth defects. at this point it hasn't been spread by mosquitoes in the continental u.s. but has turned up in people who have traveled to places where outbreaks are common. the vir ow is linked with the yellow fever mosquito which is not seen in our area. >> the chance of zika being an issue in new jersey is extremely low. >> reporter: i'm told the asian tiger moskos don't usually show up here till late may then reach population peak in july and august. >> it's very important to keep up on date with all these different viruses to protect our community. >> reporter: more than 40 different kinds of mosquitoes come through the lab every year,

advisory for the inland portions of atlantic and ocean counties until 8:00 tomorrow morning. there may very well about some frost. there's no moisture in the east, that's for sure. we do have showers in illinois getting into indiana. it's getting a little bit closer. and the story is we're going to get some rain relief. what about the timing of it? speaking of timing, you can get your seven-day forecast right below. full seven-day for your area constantly during the weather. here's the area of rain coming in. into ohio by 9:00 thursday. so it's not coming in tomorrow. it's not coming in tomorrow night. friday is the day. look at 1:00 friday afternoon. some showers, maybe some thunderstorms. you see some big areas of red. there could be some thunderstorms there right during the afternoon rush on friday. then it moves through, but may

not just drive out of here and clear us out for saturday. so the shore areas in southern delaware could be seeing some lingering showers for saturday morning. here's the forecast for tomorrow. no showers for tomorrow as we go through the neighborhoods. millville, look at the low there in the morning 36 then high of 71. wildwood with 68 during the day tomorrow, 69 in atlantic city. of course, it will be warmer in the inland areas. hammonton down to 37 degrees in the morning before getting into the 70s. a huge temperature contrast tomorrow. so you need a jacket in the morning and you certainly won't in the afternoon. trenton's up to 75 degrees in the afternoon. norristown into the low 40s, then into the 70s. philadelphia, 75 degrees, wilmington 73, after low temperatures in the 40s. harrington in delaware, 43, then

the high of 74. then the rest of pennsylvania areas, you can see temperatures down into the low 40s. and high temperatures into the mid7 os for the most part. as we go through the next ten days we're going to see -- that's our shot for the showers and storms on friday. it will be warm, it will be more humid. then we dry out on saturday, but could be some lingering showers at the shore and in south jersey and southern delaware. sunday's a beautiful day, monday is nice, too. then a stretch of cooler temperatures and more chances for rain that we could really use to knock the pollen out of the air. him john clark live inside the wells fargo center. we'll hear from the eagles about trading up for the second pick in the draft.
