kalifa show. nbc 10's drew smith is live in camden where there is another show scheduled for don't. drew, what did you learn about last night's fence collapse? >> reporter: denise, inspectors were out here checking on the fence and installing a new temporary one, as well as a buffer zone. fans are heading in for another concert, hoping for a safe show after dozens ended up with bruises, broken bones is and other injuries last night. fans jumped to the music of snoop dogg is and wiz kalafa at bb&t. >> they were jumping up and down. everybody put your hands up. everybody is sitting there jumping. >> reporter: then it happened. it shows the railing giving way and a hoardof people dropping.

>> we shook it to see how sturdy it was. >> reporter: from skyforce 10 you can see yellow tape where the fence once stood. today we watched workers bring in temporary fencing. an ambulance sat in place inside the gate. the concert ended shortly after the collapse. security ushered away the stars. and medics rushed in to help fans and employees hurt. >> we saw people on stretchers, people in neck braces, people all scraped up. >> reporter: you can see a triage area. first responders helped people onto cots. >> it was a domino effect. >> reporter: it didn't have is any code issues. snoop dogg wishing fans a quick recovery. it is is actively working with authorities and structural

engineers to determine the cause of that collapse. and this though tonight is called an i love the 90s show with coolio and salt and peppa. we're live in camden. drew smith, nbc 10 news. a fire at a popular pub is under investigation. nbc 10 on main street in da vinnie's pub at 3:00 this afternoon. at one point the flames shot through the roof of the building. everyone inside was safely evacuated. a firefighter in camden is recovering after he got hurt fighting a fire in pensauken township. it took a half hour for firefighters to get it under control. no word tonight how the firefighter was injured. we're dealing with heat and humidity right now. and tracking the threat for

scattered showers and storms for later tonight. let's get your neighborhood forecast with nbc 10 first alert meteorologist karen thomas. karen. all right, denise. all day along the heat and humidity has been building. sure enough we have a trigger with a cold front moving through the northwest. scattered thunderstorms is the call for the next couple of hours. they just isolate and scatter in nature and move through the care. we're watching heavy rain through allentown. gusty winds, heavy rainfall. the good news here, the systems are popping up and moving very, very quickly. so we did have a severe thunderstorm warning there that dropped at 5:45 p.m. but we're keeping a close eye as the system just continues to sort of pop. this is the very latest radar picture right now coming out of franconia, buckingham. the heavy rain indicated by the bright orange and bright red.

10.4 mark. and ginnc thrasher is a gold medalist. >> she shot her way to the top for team usa. the 19-year-old virginia native learned to shoot while hunting with her dad. >> i'm just completely overwhelmed. i'm very grateful to be able to stand up on that podium and hear usa's national anthem. >> reporter: women's rugby lost their first match to fiji in the olympic debut. this day began on a picturesque note as we went on a scenic tour around rio. tonight men's and women's swimming each have two finals. katie ledecky is is in the 4 x 100 relay. brian mooar, nbc news, rio. matt volusia is live where he watched the u.s. women's soccer team take on france.

they got to see their hometown favorite make the first and only goal. >> reporter: the name carli lloyd certainly resonates around here. team usa fans came here to watch that game. it was an uneventful first half as you probably saw. the excitement came in the second half when carli lloyd scored. we heard cheers from inside the bar. carli lloyd is from burlington. there is a connection to medford. she played for the strikers as a kid and is now one of the coaches. needless to say, there was some satisfaction watching her score the only goal of the game. the folks hope there's plenty more of that to come. >> it's just a cool thing. carli lloyd is from close by. it is cool seeing her play. >> i've played soccer all my life. i definitely look up to these women. i got a chance to see them once in person. i would love to do them again. but seeing them on tv is good

no charges have been filed after the fbi searched nine locations connected to a powerful union boss and a philadelphia city council man. agents hauled away boxes of evidence from a home belonging to ibew union boss john doherty in spring garden. agents raided city hall office of councilman bobby henan. they are set to go through the boxes of evidence beginning monday morning. the fbi has not revealed why it's investigating. no charges have been filed in connection with yesterday's raid. up next, the grand finale,

pennsylvania state police are investigating an incident after they say a man ran from a traffic stop in montgomery county. troopers stopped a u-haul truck in the parking lot of joe's crab shack in lower merion. witnesses tell us the officer tasered the driver when he ran off. during the struggle, the man lost consciousness. he was rushed to the hospital. at least 13 people are dead and six others hurt after a fire broke out at a bar in france. that fire started shortly after midnight during a birthday

party. it took more than 50 firefighters to extinguish the flames. it started in the basement of a bar rented out for a party. tensions are high as the country is on maximum terror alert after two attacks last month. belgian police believe an attack on two police officers was an act of terrorism, but they are still investigating. they say a man with a ma chevrolet shetty yelled god is great in arabic as he attacked two female police officers in southern belgium today. a third officer shot the attacker who later died of his injuries. a ride to remember in northeast philadelphia today. dozens gathered for project blue light. it is a bike ride in memory is and in honor of police officers suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder. riders hopped on their bikes rode from the philadelphia police academy to franklin square and the living flame

year. well, it is all about fishing at the camden waterfront today. the first pro-am bass fishing tournament kicked off today. prices were awarded to those with the best catch. families got to enjoy carnival games, music, and sample some food. and taking a look at our temperatures, we're still on the warm side, especially down in atlantic city. still 89 degrees in atlantic city. 87 here in mount holly. close to 90 in philadelphia. look at a little bit of rain. 76 in allentown. a severe thunderstorm moved through an hour ago, cooling things off just a bit. but our weather story is a 50/50. scattered thunderstorms continue for the early evening hours tonight. and then clearing out, leading up to just a nice day tomorrow. we're looking for plenty of sunshine tomorrow.

not as much cloud cover as we saw today. the current radar satellite showing us just where the clouds are and where the heavy cells are right now. moving very quickly. this is just a prefront to a cold front that is ready to slip in from the northwest. as it does, we can expect the next couple of hours for the isolated pockets of rain. be careful. because if you're up here north and west of philadelphia in parts of the lehigh valley, just be careful. because some of the cells contain heavy rainfall, gusty winds, maybe everyone penny-sized hail. they'll be clearing out, though, as we cool down in the evening hours. right now not cooling down too much here along the shoreline ocean temperatures 79 degrees. 86, on ocean city. 88 in avalon. same for stone harbor. we've got that really warm south-southwesterly push. the warm air is going to

continue. another look at radar right now. we do have heavy cells west of 476, route moving east in trenton there. as i said, we are going to anticipate this unstable weather for the next couple of hours. hour by hour we take you, we clear out, though, as we move into sunday morning. plenty of sunshine for wakeup tomorrow. and the clouds stay away, at least until we get closer into monday, here monday morning. we should stay dry sunday and monday as we get closer to tuesday and wednesday, we get another front poised to move in. but all in all, high pressure taking care of us at least for tomorrow and into monday. here's the next five days. here's philadelphia up here. plenty of sunshine tomorrow. as i said, we will have warm temperatures tomorrow. but it's not going to feel sticky and as soupy as it did today. dewpoint not as high. for monday, a few clouds work into the forecast. but 86 degrees. look at our overnight lows.

hi. eagles took it easy at practice today with a 10, 10, 10 session. 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive plays, 10 minutes of special plays and no hitting. ryan matthews practiced for a second straight day after returning from an ankle injury that kept him out of camp until yesterday. they are happy to have matthews back. >> he just looks explosive out there. he just looked explosive. he looked quick. he was seeing things. and i know it was a toned down practice with no pads, but we are still playing fast. we want to get him as much touches as we can. >> zach ertz returned to practice after being hit low by rookie count else. rookies have to show more respect. but today ertz sounded like he had gotten over it. >> you never want guys to go allow.

but you can't blame the guy. he's a lot smaller than me. i probably shouldn't have said what i said. >> as a professional you learn how to practice. the only way dow is by practicing. the guys that went a little low the last couple of days, i don't think you'll see that again. one got seriously injured. >> 5-year-old chase merry weather. he has been through so much in his young life. he had a severe case of the flu which led to brain surgery and both arms and legs had to be amputated. he was thrilled to meet his favorite player brandon graham. graham was in awe of this young man. >> if i never have seen anything, i would have thought nothing ever happened. he comes with a positive attitude. he inspired me. 90% of stuff is thrown at you. 10% is how you handle it.
