diagnosis was revealed on sunday after her campaign said she became overheated at the 9/11 memorial. is it concerning at all that a couple of days went by that we didn't know about hillary clinton's pneumonia? >> it creates some doubt. it's in the interests of the campaign and the process to know as much in a timely way as we can. >> reporter: david thornburgh is president and ceo of a watchdog group, committee of 70. >> you apply for a demanding job, you take a physical to assure people that you have stamina, that you don't have any underlying conditions. we need to know that. this is also a test of how you respond to people's legitimate requests. >> reporter: as for the campaign trail, we've just learned hillary clinton's husband, former president bill clinton, will substitute for her at events in california tomorrow and nevada on wednesday. jim? >> lauren mayk.

hillary clinton will get help from the commander in chief tomorrow right here in philadelphia. president obama plans to push pennsylvania residents to vote during a speech along the ben franklin parkway. gates open for the public event at 11:15. president obama is not expected to speak until several hours later. if you're driving around the parkway tomorrow, you can expect to see some detours and delays. new at 6:00, in the past 30 minutes the city released its list of street closings. at 6:00 a.m. there will be lane restrictions. at 7:00 a.m., parts of kelly drive and spring garden will be detoured. at 9:00 a.m., the entire eakins oval will be closed for the event. donald trump will attend a private event tomorrow night at the aston community center. trump spoke out about ly

clinton's comment that half of his voters belong in a, quote, basket of deplorables. >> to hear my opponent attack, slander, smear, demean, these wonderful, amazing people who are supporting our campaign by the millions, our support comes from every part of america, and every walk of life. >> clinton did issue a statement saturday saying she regretted saying half of trump's supporters were deplorables. other news here at home, a bucks county toddler is shot and killed. now police are working to figure out just what happened. the boy lived at home with his father and grandparents on kumry road in milford township. police aren't saying exactly how the child was shot but they have identified him as 2-year-old benjamin austin smith. state police tell us the only other person in the house with the toddler was which father, nicholas wiley.

>> reporter: until then, she, madeleine, or maddie her parents say, hid behind her hair. maddie figured out she felt more comfortable as a boy, a decision she shared with her parents in may. >> in the end, i couldn't not be myself anymore. >> reporter: the gender change came after being accepted for enrollment at camden catholic high school to follow in dad's footsteps. >> at madeleine. he was accepted, enrolled, registered, half of the year's tuition was paid. >> reporter: by august, once they met with school leaders to discuss the name change along with bathrooms, uniforms and gym class, the school withdrew madeleine, now mason, from enrollment. they told the family -- >> we are to live our lives in the way anatomically god created us. >> a lot of the comments here are taking the words out of my mouth. >> reporter: mason and his family tell me the change.org petition came as a surprise to them, unsolicited. since sunday, a vast majority of

dressing room. he's accused of reaching under the door to take pictures with his phone. they say he drove away in a bmw. now to the latest on the septa slowdown. inspectors found an issue with 18 of the newly repaired cars this weekend. they are off the tracks again. septa blamed it on a design plum. 129 rail cars were pulled from service in july to fix a structural flaw. septa says it will have all the trains back on the tracks by november. one of philadelphia's largest employers is moving, but not leaving the area. denise nakano has more. >> reporter: you may remember aramark was considering a move. today governor wolf joined aramark in announcing they're staying in the city.

the company has been headquartered in philadelphia for decades. now they'll relocate farther west on market. they'll move into a fully renovated nine-story building located at 2400 market street near the banks of the schuylkill river. here is what the renovations will look like when compete. aramark is expected to begin transitioning some staff members to that location in the fall of 2018, with a full move estimated by the end of that year. aramark employs about 14,000 people in pennsylvania, 6500 of them are here in philadelphia. denise nakano, nbc 10 news. new at 6:00, general mills made up its mind and decided it's closing its vineland plant. nbc 10 told you in july about the possibility it would close. today the company confirmed it would close the manufacturing facility in the first quarter of

london, who was with dorenbos as he traveled across the country for the rehearsal. jackie, you talked to dorenbos today about what fans can expect in this finale, something special i imagine. >> reporter: jim, he's used to putting his game face on for the eagles. but does is a whole different ball game for him. simon cowell has already called him a genius, a wizard. heidi klum says she loves how he makes everyone feel. where do you go from there? jon says he's going back to the basics. since he was a child, he's entertained everyone around him. but this time it's different. he's performing for a shot at winning the country over with his magic. e he made it through the semis with flying colors. but it all comes down to the final. what can we expect from your performance? >> whoo! i'm going to tell you right now, this one is coming from the heart. so it's my beliefs on life. it's my beliefs on magic.

it's kind of a routine that i guess i've been doing since i was a little kid. it's moves that i learned. some of the very first card moves i ever learned. so because of that, i'm really excited. >> reporter: pure magic and a passion for performing. jon dorenbos kept getting touchdowns in his new spotlight on "america's got talent." but the pressure has never been greater than right now. how much pressure is there to do the most unbelievable magic act? >> does that mean it's bigger? no. does that mean it's smaller? no. i think as a performer, it's not about me, it's not about the trick. it's about entertaining the audience. i wanted to give them my interpretation of magic. hopefully they dig it. i'm super proud of this. i want to do something just beautiful, just elegant. >> reporter: over the top and high energy, what we've all come to know from dorenbos. for his final act, without giving too many away, it seems he's turning down the volume to really turn up. >> i'm a hyper, high energy guy.

in philadelphia. 81 degrees. we got up to 84 today but it didn't feel like it. beautifully clear across most of the area. look how bright and blue that sky is in lehigh valley. we've seen temperatures go well into the 90s in delaware last week. some places, not even in the 80s with all this sunshine. newark, 77. glasgow, 77. tallivill talliville, 78. georgetown, 76. and remember last week, we even had the feels-like temperatures, 105 at bethany beach? right now, the temperature 73 degrees. what a change. now, we're not going to be keeping this comfort all week. but we are certainly going to be keeping the sunshine for another day. no doubt about that. and so it's comfortable, except for wednesday.

we've got that one day where it's going to get up to 93 in philadelphia. then it drops. dover, 91. then it drops into the 70s for highs. allentown, 91, then down into the 70s toward the end of the week. wildwood, 88, going down into the 70s as well. now, we've also had a real lack of rain. we need some. the only rainy day we've had so far this month was the first day of the month. all of these days with the orange. that's dry weather or predict dry weather through saturday. we're predicting rain for sunday. and that's about it. so some folks are looking for some opportunities for rain. and where are they coming from? from wisconsin. it's going to take a while. watch what happens to all of this. as we go into wednesday, wednesday morning we're still clear. wednesday afternoon, we're still

pretty clear, pretty impressive area of showers and thunderstor thunderstorms. it disappears. that's what happens later on in the evening. as we lose the heat of the day, there's not enough moisture in the atmosphere to keep that rain threat significantly high. 76 in fairmount tomorrow. look at these low temperatures in some of these places. easton at 53. reading, 56 degrees. it's unusually cool. egg harbor city, 56. at the beaches, 65 degrees. in lawn port, 61 in avalon, 62 in rehoboth beach. over the next few days we'll see that one day temperature rise as we go into the rest of the week and at the shore we're in the 80s before going back into the 70s too. >> all right, glenn. we're following breaking
