soda -- has been looking into the details of the newcastle house today. >> he's actually standing over here right now, his name is bob and he's usually outside smoking before work on his porch. the track came down the road. you see that blue car on the road out there? the truck hit that car, it came out into the yard and look what it did to the man's bedroom. >> that's where i was sitting this morning. >> reporter: bob was doing his business when his house was crashed into this morning. >> the house swayed this way and this way and i was in the bathroom. >> reporter: the soda truck slammed right up on to the porch and into his house. afterwards bob wanted some answers. >> i came outside and he's the driver standing in my driveway and i just laid into it.

>> bob says he kind of rambled. the driver was okay, police sent him to the hospital for testing, he really could have hurt somebody this morning. catherine was asleep with her daughter when she heard the crash hit bob's house this morning. the rig was about five feet shy of ripping into her bedroom. she says she's sick of her truck using the 25-mile-per-hour street. >> i don't think people really realize this is residential. so they speed right through. >> reporter: and you can see cleanup, you hear the generators and the power tools. i called canada dry's plant this morning and i asked to speak to a manager and they hung up on me. bob tells me he has called them a number of times in the past telling them he needs their drivers to slow down as they come through. he has called them in the past.

police are now deciding if they're going to file charges against that driver. now to some details on a similar situation for another newcastle county homeowner, you're going to watch right there as a car smashes on to the property in the belvedere neighborhood. it's not the first time that cars have slammed into this house. >> tonight we're learning the father of suspected bomber ahmad rahami previously spoke to law enforcement about his son. >> he was interviewed after an incident back in 2014. keith, just what did rahami's father tell federal officials about his son? >> this is what we know right now. it all started when police were called rahami's home in november

of 2014. during an argument, the elder rahami called his son a terrorist. rahami was arrested. but a grand jury declined to indict him. t the fbi found no terrorist connections and the case closed. as for the current information, a h rahami is faced with multiple charges. >> we're very vigilant when you do that. but the human side of you says there is not happening. but for us, it was real, and it was our die and thanning god officers were alive and we were able to make the apprehension. >> here's where it all began. saturday morning, a pipe bomb exploded in a trash can in sea site park. it happened just minutes before
