endorsement of him. hack attack. 500 million yahoo! customers victimized. what you need to know. >> announcer: nbc10 news starts now. count down to curfew. charlotte says all protesters must be off the streets within an hour. good evening, everyone. i'm jim rosenfield. the midnight curfew comes during a third night of protests over the killing of keith lamont scott. just hours ago, his family watched the police video of his death, and they are not satisfied with what they saw. nbc10's keith jones is live in our breaking news center with the latest. >> reporter: protesters are marching right now under the state of emergency there. it's been a less violent night than before, but seemingly more organized. >> no justice, no peace! >> reporter: protesters proposed progress, even posing their proclamations to police. >> protesters are at the police department. >> reporter: raising flags,

signs, and their voices. >> black lives matter! >> reporter: hundreds on the streets of charlotte, their resounding message on day three. >> release the video scott. >> reporter: footage of the death at the hands of officers who say the black man had a gun. his family says it was a book. they saw the video tonight, and their attorneys released this statement, quote, it is impossible to discern from the video what, if kneelianything m scott was holding in his hand. when he was shot and killed, mr. scott's hands were by his side and he was slowly walking backwards. protesters are calling for a revolution. >> this is the first time since the civil rights movement. >> reporter: men and women in uniform, armed, ready, on the front lines, rows of police in riot gear, hoping the night stays peaceful.

keith scott's family wants the video of his fatal shooting made public. it's not clear whether police are going to release it. in addition, with less than an hour until curfew at midnight in charlotte, the family urges protesters to be peaceful. keith jones, nbc10 news. farther south tonight, charges for the tulsa police officer who shot and killed terence crutcher. tonight, his family is reacting. officer betty shelby has been charged with first degree manslaughter. dash cam and aerial footage of the shooting showed crutcher walking away from officer shelby with his arms in the air. crutcher's twin sister spoke after the family learned of the charges filed against shelby. >> while we are pleased to learn that the officer who senselessly killed my beloved brother will face criminal charges for her reckless act, we understand that nothing will bring him back.

>> reporter: introduced by basketball coach bobby knight, trump took the stage to the theme from "rocky," air statue of the fighter nearby in a campaign t-shirt. he told the crowd in delaware county he'll make it safe again. >> it must be ended and ended now. >> reporter: it's trump's fourth visit to the philadelphia region in four weeks as he pushes for votes, his campaign also dealing with a report in "the washington post" claiming his charitable foundation used more than $250,000 to settle legal issues involving his businesses. in a one-on-one interview at tonight's rally, i asked his son, eric trump, about that. was money from the foundation used to settle business interests? >> what's really amazing to me with this foundation, there's not a single person ever took a salary from his foundation. not a single expense was ever charged to his foundation. his foundation gave to so many great charities whether it be veterans charities, children's

police over its endorsement of donald trump. the philadelphia guardian civic league, which represents 2,500 african-american officers, will hold a news conference tomorrow on why it is denouncing the endorsement. the league's president says she cannot believe the fop's decision. >> to me, it was shocking. when i heard it, i thought somebody was punking me and playing a joke. the fraternal order of police has a diverse membership. trump is not speaking kind of the diverse cultures in this country. he's the worst representative you can deal with. >> the philadelphia fop followed the national organization in supporting trump. the philadelphia guardian civic league says they wish the fop had endorsed no one at all. hillary clinton did not have any public events today, but her running mate, tim kaine, was campaigning out west. he spoke to voters in reno, nevada, and made some predictions about the first presidential debate. kaine believes trump will be

first lady michelle obama's pass ports. they were posted to the website for the group called dc leaks. officials suspect it's run by russian intelligence. the same site posted campaign related e-mails from colin powell's account. brand-new exclusive video tonight believed to show the new york and new jersey bombing suspect leaving a suitcase bomb on a new york city street. police say ahmad rahami is seen leaving the luggage on a manhattan street saturday night. two men come up and take the suitcase but leave the unexploded bomb. then several people come and mess with the device. two people even kick it. one woman eventually calls police. the nypd bomb squad came to remove the device. to a developing story. now new pictures just into our newsroom show the man accused of slashing a woman to death in delaware county and then leaving a trail of blood into philadelphia. nbc10's brandon hudson live in yaden where he just received new information on this case. >> reporter: we are waiting for

the victim's estranged boyfriend to turn himself in to police. when a detective told us he has some surveillance images he wants to share with you at home. it shows a profile of the man police are looking for. new tonight, surveillance images of who police say is mark epps on the night natasha gibson died. epps remains a person of interest in her murder. but earlier his mom tried to clear his name. >> he has not did this, no. >> reporter: lisa epps stood in her front doorway, expressing her unwavering support for her son, mark, saying he hasn't been in touch with his estranged girlfriend, natasha gibson, for a while. >> he has not seen that girl for eight, nine months. >> reporter: yeadon police don't believe it. the chief says gibson's family told officers a different story. >> there's threats of violence from him just recently in the last month. so she was fearful for her safety because of this individual. >> reporter: around 3:00 this morning, gibson's body was found

outside a family friend's house, her throat slashed. the killer got away on foot. a long trail of blood from yeadon to the outskirts of southwest philly led investigators to what's believed to be the bloody steak knife used in the killing. >> the investigation of the crime scene showed us that the suspect apparently was also injured, and he was bleeding. >> reporter: later police told nbc10 about the search for mark epps. a man with a criminal history which includes past charges of assault, reckless endangerment, and rape. we learned why epps is tied to the crime. >> this suspect apparently was beaten up in a bar and philadelphia, and he felt that she was responsible for that. >> he got beat up down here not once, but twice. and i was so afraid that he was going to get killed down here. >> reporter: detectives are also looking at surveillance video. investigators found natasha gibson's purse on a roof but have not said how it got there.

although police named a person of interest, no one is facing charges at this time. live in yeadon, brandon hudson, nbc10 news. to this now from skyforce10 over this big emergency response to an accident between a car and a fire truck in burlington county. a fire crew was stopped at a light when a woman driving a car plowed right into the back of the fire truck right there. two firefighters were in the truck. they weren't hurt and they helped get the woman out. she went to the hospital but is expected to be okay. with or without? donald trump makes a stop at one of the city's most famous steak joints. who the republican presidential nominee offered to buy a cheesesteak. let's talk about trump. >> oh, let's. >> clinton and the comedian. what happened when hillary clinton sat down with zach gal fa knackis between two ferns. and, jim, we do have big changes to our temperatures by

county this evening. he offered to get cheese steaks for the crowd and he joked that he was buying one for hillary clinton. meantime, clinton showed off her own comedy chops. she sat down with comedian zach galifianakis for an episode of his web series, between two ferns. of course the topic of trump came up. >> when he's elected president and kid rock becomes secretary of state, are you going to move to canada or one of the arctics? >> i would stay in the united states. >> and what would you try to -- >> i would try to prevent him from destroying the united states. >> so you're going to lead the civil war? >> no, i wouldn't take up arms. i think that might be a little extreme. >> galifianakis also joked about her e-mail scandal. clinton dead panned in the video she really regretted doing this. will those ferns get any showers in the next few days. >> we do have a couple of showers in the forecast later tomorrow into saturday. but first let's go ahead and focus on these warmer

for elevations higher up. we're seeing some 60s by sunday, overnight lows sunday into monday, upper 30s and some low 40s. get those jackets ready. tomorrow, 85 for millville. 86 for hampton. atlantic city, 85 degrees. lots of 80s across the area. again, topping out in the upper 80s. in fact, today philadelphia saw a high of 87 degrees. so another warm day on tap, unseasonably warm for this time of the year. then we're getting cooler by sunday. here is your hour by hour forecast. notice conditions are dry right now. there's that front. it will start to slide down and we do see some light showers moving on through. conditions will be scattered showers through the overnight hours and clearing early on saturday. cooler temperatures by saturday into sunday and sunday into monday. and then it looks like we may see some showers later next week. otherwise, conditions remain very dry for the most part with those scattered showers overnight tomorrow into
