demonstrators demanded it for days. just minutes ago police say they have found the man who shot up a washington mall, killing five people inside. >> announcer: nbc 10 news starts now. wilmington's mayor calls it a devastating day. two firefighters lost their lives in the line of duty and two others are critically hurt. the deadly fire happened early this morning on lake view road. nbc 10's drew smith had the latest on the investigation from wilmington. >> reporter: the state fire marshal and federal investigators are involved, trying to figure out how this fire started, scorching the house and making a -- crews began boarding the row home where two men would fight their last fire. >> wake up, wake up, it's a fire. >> a family of six woke to smoke

carolina. hours after police released their video of the deadly encounter that sparked these demonstrations. protesters had been demanding the release of police dash cam and body camera footage showing the death of keith scott. they say the new images are just part of the story. >> reporter: tonight a first look at police dash and body cam video from the final moments of keith lamont scott's life during a confrontation with charlotte police. charlotte police chief says the release is not the entire video but includes all of the images relevant to the shooting. >> there is no definitive visual evidence that he had a gun in his hand. you see something in the hand and that he pointed it at an officer. >> reporter: he says it's just part of the bigger picture of the shooting that is now sharing

first official weekend of autumn and it does feel like it. this crisp air is going to be sticking around a bit. karen. >> that's right. considering it really felt like summer yesterday. we are in the swing of fall this evening. we have a large cold front, helping to bring in that cool air. so, we are looking forward to chilly temperatures, chilly temperatures in the lower 50s, in the city, outer lying suburbs, even into the 40s. we are looking for plenty of sunshine for sunday. so, our weekend is going to stay feeling like fall but we are going to have the sun shining. that's really good news for tomorrow. look at our current temperatures already. temperatures have dropped very quickly into the mid-50s. the warm spot, philadelphia, 62. and look at mt. holly, 53 degrees. so, if you're heading out late tonight, it would be smart to

street today without worrying about traffic. it was all part of the philly free street festival. they shut down a near hey three-mile stretch. and the free event came with an unwelcome surprise for at least 200 residents. they woke up to find their cars had been towed. the deputy communications director said a miscommunication led to the cars being ticketed and towed instead of being relocated. all tickets will be canceled and towing charges will be refunded. we are less than 48 hours away from this election's season's first presidential debate, which you can see right here on nbc 10. we're tracking both candidates next. when pat toomey went to washington, he didn't stop...
