tracking hurricane matthew. it's not looking like the storm will have less of an impact on our area. we'll take a look at what moments stood out in the vice presidential debate. right now at 11:00 hurricane matthew is a hurricane 3 storm. we are getting an updated track of where it is going. good morning. i'm vai sikahema. let's get to krystal klei with an update on the storm's track.

>> yeah. we just got this in a couple of minutes ago. here are the updates. still a category 3 storm. still to the north of cuba. notice 120 miles per hour winds. we were at 115 this morning. the movement now to the northwest at 12 miles per hour. that's a bit faster as well. it was slow moving as it was moving over land. now with the strength of warm water it is starting to gain steam again. here is the updated projected path. it is very similar to what we have been seeing. there we are thursday. 8:00 in the morning back to a category 4. this is looking to strengthen again. we continue to move this along getting so close to the florida coastline. this will be a very close call for land fall. at this point it is running parallel to the coast friday morning. still a category 4. it will be a serious impact for florida. this continues to track along

here through near georgia and near south carolina. notice this front. it is coming into play and it looks like it will save us from what will be a very messy weekend. this is giving it a quick turn directly to the right. 100 miles per hour winds. look at the new updates. continuing to pull it to the right. 80 miles per hour winds. this is a very interesting track. some of us suggesting it will go right down to the south again. it looks like the new track updates also suggesting that. this is information we just got showing that we are no longer any where near this cone projection of where matthew will be going. hurricane watches in place from jacksonville down through oregoorego orlando. it has been extended along the coast on the atlantic side.

sky force 10 between quaker town and landsdale interchange. no one was seriously hurt. a traffic mess. the driver over turned ton northbound side of 476 around 7:30 this morning. crews rescued one person trapped inside. a helicopters flew him to the hospital. we are working to find out his condition. a we fromty busy day. francesca ruscio is here keeping track of it all. where are you looking? >> very busy. it is on the southbound side. an overturned tractor trailer. one lane was crawling by. this is right before landsdale right at the underpass.

traffic is veering off and i would recommend sticking to route 309. earlier we did have an over d z overturned vehicle. you can see nothing in sight. it is clear. it looks great. back to schedule. we are doing okay in the 50s. let's take a look at the accident that just came in not too long ago. no reported problems or delays. i'll send it back to you. >> thank you. >> a firefighter was injured. pamela osborne talked to neighbors of the victims. >> reporter: they say a husband and wife shared this home together with their daughter. the daughter wasn't at home at the time. neighbors tell us the couple just got done dropping her off

to college. the bodies of a woman and a man were pulled out of that home. this is what firefighters were up against when they arrived just before midnight. when they got here they found the house in flames. firefighters entered the home, recovered the two victims and immediately pulled them out onto the lawn where they did cpr but it was already too late. it took about 30 minutes to get the fire out. at some point there was an emergency evacuation. the gas company responded and a minor gas leak was recovered and capped. they are still working to determine the cause. neighbors were shocked and saddened the couple did not survive. >> i ran out. my neighbor was screaming,

running up to the door, banging on the door. they heard a lot of screaming and everything trying to get to them and was unsuccessful. >> one firefighter suffered minor injuries. a tough day all around here for neighbors and firefighters and of course the family. i'm pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. philadelphia police trying to track down the people who vandalized more than two dozen cars this morning. homeowners in the city's fair mount section woke up to find car windows smashed. it did you want look like the vandals stole anything from the cars. they say it's still a big inconvenience. >> wait for the police to come and all that. >> if you have any information about this vandalism, if you saw anything, police want to hear from you. two down, two to go.

bahamas tomorrow. as we move into your friday right along the coast of florida. the model still in good agreement that we passing through south carolina. it may mean they will still see the effects for matthews. some pulling to the right and some starting to curve back down to the south. we are looking at a much better weekend forecast as we move your saturday and sunday. neighborhoods might notice winds picking up along the shore. still going to include a chance of rain. it is not because of tropical moisture but because of the cold front that's pushing the cold front away from us. we have the 60s. that's the drop down because of the friday. around 64 the shore as well as
