good news we're warming back up for the middle of the week. >> glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here now with our first alert neighborhood weather. >> before that sun came out this morning, it was mighty chilly. 40s in philadelphia, but as low as 33 in pots town. some of those p.a. suburbs up to 63, bright sunshine that we have throughout the area, just a few high clouds and that is about it, coming in from the west. we have other clouds coming in from the ocean, these are low clouds, with that east wind and that's what may be increasing during the night tonight. that is one of the reasons that it's not going to be as cold tonight as it was last night. so by 6:00 a.m., 48 degrees in philadelphia, not cooling off as quickly during the evening either. pa suburbs, places like pottstown for example.

was going twice the 10-mile-per-hour speed limit when it crashed through a platte form in hoboken terminal. a smoky fire in burlington county this morning. the death toll continues to rise days after hurricane matthew slammed into the southeastern united states. the storm is being plamed now for at least 33 deaths in five of those states. north carolina has been hit the hardest with 14 deaths alone. president obama declared a state of emergency there making federal fuchbds available in 31 counties hit by the storm. more than 5,000 people still remain without power. achbltds new jersey first responders, volunteers, they're answering the call to help save lives and keep people safe in the wake of hurricane matthew. >> and some of these areas were hit hard by hurricane sandy.

new england, there's that southeast wind, it's not that strong yet, or else we would get some rain or drizzle out of it. the hour by hour, as you can see, we have got a front approaching, as we go into thursday, but just like we showed you yesterday, the whole thing really weakens as it comes eastward. now the lehigh valley and the poconos could see some of those showers before they fall apart, and that's what you'll see in your neighborhood forecast. you'll see them at the bottom of your screen, and the only place that we have showers for thursday is for the lehigh valley. as you go into tomorrow, we're not expecting any rain, we do expect some clouds, especially first thing, keeping the temperatures from getting too low. bethlehem down to 42. west chester starting off at 46, going up to 66.
