commuter chaos. tens of thousands of people struggling to get home with no trains and busses. >> a bird's-eye view of the situation as the region copes with what is anything but an average wednesday evening. here's what we know at this hour. septa's regional rail line is running, but picketers are barred from blocking regional rail workers from getting to their jobs, so unlike yesterday there are no widespread cancellations, both sides did have a negotiating session today, the main sticking point, worker pensions. so once again we have a team of crews watching the roads and the rails. >> we have mitch blacher in sky force ten, jessica boyington is with us today. rosemary connors has the story of thousands of students having a tough time getting to school because of the strike.

we're going to begin with andrea klein thomas. what's it like there, andrea? >> it's very noisy at the 30th street station. tell me about the difference, how sit different now? >> at least another 45 minutes getting home. it was pretty slow yesterday, morning commute, not too bad, maybe another 15 or 20 minutes. but it's going home that's presenting the biggest problem. >> reporter: that's what a lot of people are telling us now. if you look at the big board, you see a lot of trains are running late, at last check, septa said about 15 or so minutes, but the biggest thing that passengers are telling me, it's just the sheer number of people, they don't know what lines go to what place. now what septa has done, is that they have ambassadors here, you might hear them yelling during this live shot, are telling people when they come in where

the lines are to go what places and things of that nature. nobody's waiting too long, but there's a whole set of people back here who are having to just wait until things clear out a little bit, before they can even come in line, so just a lot of frustration, we have heard a lot of people say, this stinks, i hate this, this is frustrating. we're going to stay here and bring you their stories, for now, reporting from 30th street station, andrea klein-thomas. >> we go to nbc 10's rosemary conn connors. >> here's a look at the struggle the students are having just getting to class. >> reporter: this is one of the struggles, even if they have arrived, they're probably going to be sitting in it for a while. this is broad and vine streets.

they're keeping all lanes open here on broad street beyond 6:30, so you can't park until 8:00 in the evening, in terms of students, it means they're getting home later and waking up much earlier. >> i left around 7:00 so i had to get up at like around 5:00. >> i live in german town. >> reporter: that walk is about a mile and a half for tyree christian, he is a student at the mathematics and civics charter school. students are hopeful the end to the strike is in sight. in the meantime, the school is providing shuttle service. >> we're barely moving up and down broad street. >> reporter: junior marquise wallace may have walked the farthest of any student in the charter school. his trek from north town to philly took two hours. more marquise, the strikes close

to home. >> while he understands both sides of the dilemma, a resolution can't come fast enough so that everyone's schedules can get lack to normal. >> it's not just the students who would like to get a little bit more sleep, not have to get up so early to get to school or even to get to work, we're talking about teachers, we're going to have that part of the story at 6:00. reporti ining live at broad and vine, nbc 10 nice. let's take you up to sky force 10 for a bird's-eye view. >> reporter: we're over the center city bridge and i'm showing you what we can see on the left-hand side, a pretty steady stream of cars coming out of center city s and on the right side, you can see folks walking off of the center city bridge. this traffic looking just a little bit better than did a few minutes ago, but this is a steady stream way back to city hall out of the city.

again, 900,000 riders affected because of this strike. >> and jessica boyington is also keeping track of conditions outs on the roads. >> we are watching a major trouble spot, that's on the regional rails, 20-minute delays on the trenton line, 35 minute delays for the paley thorne dale line. so there's a police investigation under way and all that service is currently suspended. we're also watching the roads in and out of center city right now, this is the vine street express way. our cameras right on 24th street. what traffic is moving towards 95. i originally picked this counter because pretty much the vine is

are accused of deliberating scheming to close lanes on the george washington bridge, prosecutors are saying it was part of a scheme to punish a mayor who didn't endorse christie in 2013. and moving right along to the weather, it seems we're in store, i can't believe i'm going to say this, for a warmup. >> let's bring in first alert meteorologist sheena parveen. >> warmer than today, tomorrow will be, so if you liked today, and you like the warm temper temperatu temperatures. now we're seeing nice dry conditions, most of the area under clear skies. 68 degrees in philadelphia, we made it into the low 70s so far today, 69 for many of our new jersey neighborhoods. delaware coming in right around 70. we're going to see warmer temperatures tomorrow, but going into the weekend, we have cooler air moving in, but look at all that warm air moving off to our south and our southwest.

investigation is under way. what we do know now is that inbound service is suspended, outbound service has been delayed there. and the inboungd inbound service is still suspended. so this is going to affect not more of your evening commute. you can also see, there's 20-minute delays, 25-minute delays, 40-minute delays on the paisley line. well, we have some big changes coming up over the next few days now, tomorrow is going to be a warm one as we go into your thursday, today low 70s, tomorrow mid 70s, friday we're going to be dropping back into the 50s, so enjoy the warm air. it's just off to our west through chicago and part of the great lakes.

live in norris town. >> reporter: bill cosby is a known celebrity world wide. defense lawyers say that many other victims came forward within the past two years in part because of his celebrity and they want to keep the testimony of other women who say they're victims out of court. prosecutors say the 13 women they want to bring to testify against bill cosby want to show a pattern, that he became friendly with their families and placed them in situations that he could control. the defense says the accounts of those 13 women are not specific and they can't remember dates times or places where the alleged assault took place. the alleged crime in question here, the 2014 sexual assault inside cosby's home was not prosecuted 11 years ago when
