busses trolleys are not running. people look for other ways to get to school or work. we have live team coverage. let's start with randy who is live. what's the latest on the negotiations? >> i did get a bri >> reporter: i did get a brief update. they were fruitful discussions with both sides at the table. as you mentioned, it is day four and commuters dealing with a very difficult rush hour. the union and septa talked late into yesterday. it was intense back and forth. the union accusing septa of playing games. it means it's a difficult time to get to work or the grocery store. we caught up with a local volunteer offering free rides to stranded commuters.

hospitals. they were rescued late last night. firefighters were called here around 9:45 in the evening on thursday. it took them four minutes to get to the scene and about 18 minutes to knock the fire out. as they were fighting the fire they came across two children on the second floor. firefighters brought the children out immediately and began life saving treatment. we learned the ages of the children that were rescued. the youngest was just 11 months old. both were in critical condition when they were transported to the hospital. we talked to a neighbor. he says he had no idea anyone was inside until he saw it on the news this morning. >> as i saw it i something like fireworks going off. i came to the back. the back of the house was just in flames. you don't want to be the parents to have to go through something like this. our prayers are definitely with them. we hope that the children

glenn schwar glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with our forecast. >> yeah. yesterday was unseasonably warm. today it is feeling like it is supposed to feel in november. we have bright sunshine but the temperature is going occuup slo. you can see hardly a cloud in the sky any where in the area, just a few fair weather small clouds. it's kind of windy in some spots. atlantic city 21 miles per hour sustained winds. philadelphia 16. down to the northwest that's the dry weather direction and the cooler direction. as we go through the afternoon we are barely up to 60. we are 61 as a high temperature and then we start dropping off more quickly tonight with the clear skies and much lighter winds. that will allow the temperatures to drop in many of the suburbs. we won't even reach the 60 degree mark today. same thing with lehigh valley. in delaware we do get to 60 plus

through the afternoon commute. and now back to the breaking news we have been telling you about. a jury has reached a verdict in the bridgegate case. two former allies, bridgette and bill have been convicted. again, they have been convicted. they have been found guilty. we are awaiting more details. we found out they were convicted. two young children recovering after a house fire in philadelphia. the flames broke out around 9:45 last night. fire crews were on the scene here within four minutes. they quickly got the flames under control. firefighters rescued an 11 month old and six-year-old from inside this burning home.

generally in the 50s. if you're headed out later today, bike our walking or wondering what the weather will be, it will be pretty good. the wind will be diminishing by 6:00. temperatures will start going down. by 8:00 it will be dropping pretty quickly on its way down to about 39 in philadelphia. it is 37 in mount holly. it will be isolated places that get closer to the freezing mark. there will be patchy frost there and also in parts of inland south jersey and central delaware as we go through the night tonight. tomorrow afternoon we are warming up into the upper 50s to the low 60s. it is 61 for the high in philadelphia. you can see pretty uniform

temperatures across the entire area tomorrow. the rain chances not just in philadelphia but elsewhere, this is through election day. that's about as low as it gets. dover is very low. redding, again, just tiny tiny chances at best. so we have dry conditions. the problem is now it's getting too dry because it's now technically severe drought into part of new jersey. central new jersey up to northern new jersey, that's a severe drought. we are into a moderate drought in montgomery county. so eventually going to need some rain. not going to have it for the eagles game. temperatures nice and comfortable for football without a lot of wind.
