i'm denise nakano. this comes nine days after comey shook up the race by announcing the fbi was resuming their investigation into the clinton e-mails. they reviewed e-mails found on anthony weiner's laptop, the else strastranged husband of cl aide huma abedin. lauren is here to explain the latest develops. this is the latest announcement from the fbi director shaking up the race. >> both sides criticized the fbi director at different times for what he said. the decision he's made or just saying anything at all in the middle of an investigation. with this new information, the clinton campaign saying today they are glad it is resolved and they were confident he'd come to this conclusion. >> are you ready to vote? >> reporter: hillary clinton on the campaign trail in ohio with basketball star lebron james. as the game changed again with

less than 48 hours till election day. clinton didn't mention it, but right now, democrats and republicans are taking stock of a new letter from the fbi director about hillary clinton's e-mail use. in the letter, director comey tells members of congress that the fbi investigative team has been working, quote, around the clock, to process and review e-mails found during an unrelated investigation. comey declared based on that review, the agency hasn't changed its conclusion from july. that's when comey announced no charges were warranted. a senior law enforcement official tells nbc news nearly all the e-mails they looked at were duplicates what they already saw in their investigation. others weren't related to government business. donald trump's campaign manager reacting to the director's new letter on twitter saying, quote, if fbi conclusions remain unchanged, that means she still was reckless and careless, still lied about classified info, lied regarding number of devices. the review announced a little more than a week ago gave trump

new momentum as polls were tightening. in the final two days, both candidates sprinting through battleground states like pennsylvania. >> this election, in many ways, is about what kind of future our country will have. >> reporter: clinton visiting the church of god this morning, rallying african-american voters with a plea to build on progress under the country's first black president. >> i personally believe we have come too far to turn back now. >> with such an emphasis on pennsylvania, donald trump has a rally in the pittsburgh area tonight. i asked the chair of pennsylvania's democratic party his reaction to the fbi news. he said the initial letter changed the dynamics of the race. though the clinton campaign has been picking up momentum in recent days, they can't get it all back. denise? >> lauren, thank you. donald trump made no mention of or comey's

announcement. it was released moments before trump took the stage in minneapolis. the presidential nominee made his claim that clinton is protected by a rigged system and shouldn't be allowed to run for president. >> hillary clinton will be under investigation for a long, long time, for her many crimes against hour nation, people and democracy, likely concluding in a criminal trial. >> trump defended his decision to make a last-minute campaign stop in minnesota, saying the pundits have been wrong about him before. it was one of five states trump visited today. he began in iowa before making a stop in minnesota and then michigan. tonight, trump will visit moon township, pennsylvania, in allegheny county. he'll wrap up his day in virginia. well, the daughters of both presidential candidates are making the push for pennsylvania today. chelsea clinton and ivanka trump crisscrossed the keystone state.

ivanka trump campaigned in philadelphia earlier this afternoon and stopped in cumberland county afterwards. chelsea clinton made several campaign stops throughout montgomery, chester counties. tomorrow night, heavy hitters will take part in a rally for hillary clinton on independence mall. it includes the candidate herself, bill clinton, president obama, first lady michelle obama, jon von jovi, and we've learned that bruce springsteen joined the lineup. nbc 10 will be there for the rally and for all the action. watch our campaign countdown show monday night at 7:00. turning now to day six of the septa strike. pennsylvania governor tom wolf is taking a stand as commuters prepare for yet another work week without busses, trolleys and subways across fflphiladelp.

for the latest on talks between septa and the union, we turn to center city. it is not just the governor who is getting involved now. >> no, the mayor is also stepping in. we just learned minutes ago the city of philadelphia filed an injunction to temporarily bring back the septa workers for election day. meanwhile, septa and union leadership, they've been negotiating here at the sheraton hotel since 11:00 this morning. a union source tells me they are not close to a deal. >> reporter: for some, the new work week begins tonight as the hardship imposed by the septa strike continues. this woman works in trenton. >> i leave my house at 3:00 and i don't have to be to work until 10:00. >> reporter: the 30th street station resembles more normal activities, passengers can use

the trail. >> i think the union has a point. but i think we need another transportation system. there has to be some way to work through this, rather than going through the strikes again and again. >> reporter: septa and the downdowunion exchanged offers. negotiations remain far apart. the governor is stepping in to get a judge to force employees back to work, especially by election day. >> we're paying for all this and it is not fair. whatever you have to do, get it over with now. >> septa's court hearing is tomorrow morning. for all of you at home, it seems as though you're still going to need to use your plan b to get to work tomorrow morning. we'll stay here and monitor the negotiations. reporting live in accecenter ci nbc 10 news.

turning to disappointment for eagles fans. they launched a comeback against the giants but fell short. john clark is live at metlife stadium. not the ending fans were hoping for. >> yeah, this is a really tough loss. they're 0-3 in the division, lost four straight on the road by a total of 19 points. the eagles got down 14-0 early off two carson wentz interceptions. they get an interception off eli manning. the ball is tipped. hicks gets the pick. they're once again in the red zone. they have a chance to win the game. carson wentz, incomplete to jordan matthews. the eagles were only two for six in the red zone. they lose 28-23. doug pederson knows this team has to learn from these close, late losses. >> the feeling is very disappointed. we feel we've had an opportunity in a couple of the ball games to pull them out.
