young girl. we begin with a mother charged with mother. she confessed to killing two young boy, drowning them in a bathtub. we're learning details about the investigation and the woman charges. >> tim furlong joins us live. we hear the mom seemed pretty calm through all this. >> reporter: yeah, this woman say just killed two young children in this house behind me. when she called 911, she seemed calm and controlled. police had been called to this home a few hours before the murders. nbc 10 in court today for the arraign mement of the woman who admitted to intentionally leaving her son in the tub at their apartment. she also said she held her boyfriend's 5-year-old son under water until he stopped moving. she calmly called 911 after doing so.

>> more controlled. not that is indicative of someone that has two murdered children. very calm. >> reporter: we also learned today police had been at the apartment hours earlier. she was frabtic at 3:a 45 in the morning. she came to the u.s. from liberia in 1997. but after her boyfriend, the father of the two boys, was jailed on an immigration issue, she called police worried about her own fate. police say the officer saw nothing that murder was about to take place. >> why would skqját do what they have done? to us, we don't have the answers either. >> come back live. you can see the teddy bears and candles left there. moms now being held on $2 million bail. the video arraignment she yelled she is innocent. last night to tell the father of the boys what had happened. they have not found the biological mother of the older

child. e breaking news out of delaware county. images live over the scene of a house fire in upper darby. firefighters on that scene right now as a matter of fact. this is near the corner of harper avenue and state road. e we don't know if anyone is trapped or hurt in this fire. you see the window open at the top there. we'll continue to follow this story. there's a firefighter that you can see through that window. we'll give you updates as soon as we get them. we're following a developing story in south jersey. a bus hit and killed a a woman at the vor heez town center. there were people on that bus at the time. investigators are looking for surveillance video. police won't release the name until they talk to her family. philadelphia police just arrested a man who tried to lure a 14-year-old girl and witnesses say the man was naked. >> this all happened around 3:30

near overbrook high school. investigators say the man tried to grab the girl away before they arrested him. we just spoke to someone who watched the whole thing unfold from a bus. he hopped out and helped to tackle the suspect. >> he was nude. he was butt çnaked. he looked like he was on something, some kind of drug or medication. e he needs help. he grabbed one of the girls. >> that witness also told us the man was screaming i'm a rapist, i'm a pedophile, while he was being arrested. taking a right-hand turn, a sunny, cool and chrrisp. here's a live look at the conditions in the poconos. a beautiful day. perfect weather to sip on a pumpkin spice latté. don't you agree? >> you got that in there. >> our producer said psl. that's what she calls it.

brandon hudson has that story in our next half hour. first, the crisis in puerto rico. outrage as new video shows food and water thrown in a dumpster. it was supposed to be aid for people on the island. puerto rico's secretary of state posted this video on twitter. he says the boxes of food and water were thrown away after being left out in the rain. now that is just one of the reasons the group is heading to our nation's capital tomorrow. all new at 5:00, how dozens of people will travel to d.c. to demand puerto rico get more aid. up here, everything is running smoothly. but u.s. citizens struggle to survive in another part of the country. >> they are just surviving, and that's what it comes down top every day is how do i survive. >> her aunts and uncles live in puerto rico. >> my uncéeç called us to say

stop a controversial pipeline to the state capital today. they want the mariner east pipeline project put to an end. the group is joined by three senators for the rally in harrisburg. they say the state needs more regulations on energy pipelines. >> we have come out to say you haven't listen to us. you haven't listened to us. you don't listen to us. >> when completed, the pipeline will be 350 miles long and carry about 25,000 barrels of natural gas liquids a day. residents in kenzing on to say a recent project to clean up drug use on the tracks is having the opposite effect. some say the clean up has led to drug addicts using residential locations to consume their drugs. their main concerns are the trash that's being left behind and the safety of their children. the councilwoman says she is well aware of the complaints.

apartments. one person was treated for smoke inhalation. several apartments were damaged. no word on what start ed that fire. nuns no longer on the run. the fbi has charged two women with an attempted bank robbery in the poconos while dressed as nuns. investigators say the suspects tried to rob a bank back in august. they ran away after an alarm was triggered. the women are also accused of robbing banks in north jersey. a major drug ring taken down. today new jersey officials charged 15 people accused of selling drugs in our area with racketeering. they said they also nabbed the ring leader. he's being called the biggest heroin and cocaine supplier in camden and north philadelphia. law enforcement officials say today's indictment could send him to jail for life. ahead at 5:00, the popular center city restaurant cited for not paying its employees. >> freed from captivity, we're hearing from the husband of a pennsylvania woman just days

the nfl anthem debate is waging on tonight. following a meeting in new york city between owners and players. nbc sports philadelphia's john clark join us live. this is really an issue that's overshadowed the play on the field. the league says it wants to find common ground. >> eagles players were among a dozen players who met with nfl commissioner roger goodell and a dozen owners today including jeffrey laurie. they say the meeting was productive, but the protests were not discussed. at this time, players are still allowed to kneel or demonstrate during the anthem. >> nfl owners, players, league officials and union reps huddled up in new york today.

l. today lawmakers heard about the impact of the beverage tax on businesses across the city. city controller testified before the state senate local government committee. the beverage tax adds a 1.5 cent per bemplg sold in the çcity. since the tax was implemented, sales have fallen 13%. revenue for 60% of convenience store, restaurants and retailers in the city has dropped by 10%. a big payback for restaurant workers to the garden in center city. they have agreed to pay $400,000 in wages and damages. the restaurant was charged with violating overtime, minimum wage and recordkeeping rules. 63 workers will divide that money. if you ask a college student away his or her favorite food
