terrifying moments as people jumped to safety from a burning big. >> cbs 2's andrea grymes joins us live from the scene in bedford park. an dree, a what's the latest this morning. >>reporter: and, chris and mary, yeah, one person jumped from this home about 10 people total were injured. let's show you some video from earlier this morning of the flames shooting out of this house at 261 east 202nd street this. began around 2:15 this morning. it took about an hour for crews to get this under control. 10 people total were injured, three firefighters with minor injuries, six civilians with minor injuries, including -- and one additional person who jumped from a first floor window about 15 feet to the ground who escaped the flames and the smoke. the fire department says this one was tough for firefighters because of that heavy smoke, and just a lot of stuff inside

was talking with the man for two hours and says he then assaulted her inside a rented room at the location. new information in the fatal shooting of a deli worker in the bronx. charges are now filed against the accused gunman. early tuesday two police officers escort 30-year-old efrain guzman out of a bedford park deli. police say he grab one of the officers' guns and opened fire. 49-year-old wallly camaro was killed. guzman was shot and wounded by the second officer. charges against guzman incle police officer and reckless endangerment. well, police are looking for a boater who took off after nearly crushing a long island mother. fisherman matthew scully says he was heading back home from reynolds channel off of island park sunday evening when a boater sped through a 5 mile per hour zone. he says a 30-foot cobalt blue cigarette boat slammed into his boat, smashing the windshield glass and knocking his wife unconscious. scully says he made eye contact with the man seen in this

street in the bedford park section of the bronx. this started at 2:15 this morning. the fire chief says heavy fire greeted them on the first floor when they arrived. there were also several dogs inside which made it difficult, in addition to a large accumulation, he said, of stuff which made it difficult to extinguish and then difficult to search for victims. the chief says when they got here that one resident had already jumped from a first floor window, about a 12-foot drop. smelling smoke, and while they smell the smoke, the system noticed that the fire was coming from a brother's bedroom. the brother was unable to evacuate from the interior, so she ran around the side and encouraged him to jump into the street. >>reporter: an that man who jumped had serious injuries, not only from the fall, but also from burns he sustained inside. in addition to that man, three firefighters were injured, in addition to six other residents. all of those people, though,

invited. people traped in a burning building. >> andrea grymes joins us live from the scene in bedford park. andrea. >>reporter: chris and mary, a total of 10 people were injured, including one man who had to jump from this burning home. now that the sun has come up, or started to, you can see the damage left behind and the window where that man jumped from earlier this morning. let's show you some video from around 2:00 where flames were shooting out of 261 east 202nd street. this is the or this started around 2:00, 2:15. the fire chief says heavy fire greeted them on the first floor when they initially arrived. they said -- he says there were also several dogs inside and a large accumulation of stuff which made this fire difficult to extinguish and difficult to search for victims. the chief says when they got here that one resident had already jumped from that first floor window. it's about a 12-foot drop. we spoke with another resident who lives in the basement.

accuses him of lying about the bridge gate scandal >> that's according to a text message newly surfaceed in court filings. cbs 2's magdalena doris reports. >>reporter: governor chris christie is on the defense after new court documents show his own staffer claims he lied about bridge-gate. >> it's ridiculous, it's nothing new. and so that's it. there's nothing new to talk about. >>reporter: that was his reaction to texts just revealed that were submitted as evidence in the trial against former port authority director bill berrone, alleging christie was not truthful in a 2013 press staff was not involved in the plan to close access lanes and snarl traffic at the george washington bridge as political payback. specifically saying his campaign chief, bill steppian had nothing to do with it. >> i've made it very clear to everybody on my senior staff that if anyone had any knowledge about this that they needd to come forward to me and tell me about it and they've all assured me they don't.

christie's secretary of governorral affairs and another show that may not be the truth. renna says are you listening? he just flat out lied about senior staff an steppian not being involve. sheridan replieses, i'm listening, gov is doing fine, holding his own up there. to which renna reveals her reservations. yes, but he lied, and if e- mails are found with the subpoena or if chris christie for governor e-mails are uncovered in discovery, if it comes to that, it could be bad. these texts not christie was lying, they also allege his former campaign chief knew about the plan to intentionally disrupt traffic patterns. bill steppian's lawyer says these texts have been in the government's possession for years and the suggestion that he was involved in a lane shutdown is cat goricly false and irresponsible. as for kristina renna, she testified in 2014.

bedford park, an dree a. >>reporter: well, chris and mary, one of those men had to actually jump from this burning home. let's show you some of the destruction left behind now that the sun has come up. you can see the damage there at the window where that man jumped 12 feet to the ground. he did survive but sustained serious injuries. a total of 10 people were injured in this fire. we'll show you video from earlier this morning of the flames shooting out of 261 east 2 bedford park section of the bronx. this started around 2:15 this morning. the fire chief says heavy smoke greeted them on the first floor when they arrived, along with several dogs. they said that may it difficult along with a large accumulation of stuff inside. he says that made it difficult to extinguish and difficult to search for victims. the chief says when they got here that one resident, that man we're told in his 40s had already jump ised from that
