department was out temporarily closing down some streets today to remove trees of the police chief said, though, one of the hardest parts about these these two tragedies, they were so unexpected and accidental, no one could have known. >> we had another tragic accident. juli: a community deaths the sudden death of a beloved coach and dad. he loved to play hockey with his kids. the 48-year-old was tending to their backyard rink friday night when a branch snapped beneath the weight of snow and came crashing down. >> the tree limb was approximately 40 to 50 feet above him, directly above him. he did not hear it and had no time to react and it struck him on the head. juli: he was rushed in grave condition. he passed away late saturday afternoon. his accident happened just hours after the same terrible tragedy on the other side of town. 6-year-old kaylee kenyon was

reid: seven people evacuated from townhouses in charlestown this morning after high levels of carbon monoxide was discovered. a detector went off and alerted people to the danger. everyone was gotten out safely. pam: it will take a while to remove the downed crane in new york city. workers cut it into 35 pieces to cart it away. when the crane crashed friday, one person killed, three others injured. the crane was inspected just the day before. it is a massive job moving this collapsed crane, all 565 feet of it. crews forced to use blow torches to tear it apart after it came crashing down friday morning in new york city killing one and injuring three, crushing cars and sending this

it happened in california. the sea lion cub waddled into the marine room restaurant on thursday making itself very comfortable there in a booth. when workers noticed, they called seaworld san diego. rescuers immediately came and realized the sea lion was malnourished. cubs are struggling to survive in that region, stormy weather and tides. >> they are looking for high ground and warm areas to haul out for the night. southern california has also been impacted by an unusual mortality event that is impacting the food sources for the sea lions. not only are they looking for high ground, they're also searching out food. reid: the cub is being treated at seaworld san diego. vets say they are cautiously optimistic that the cub will make a full recovery. pam: i hope he survives and we have to contend with some more stormy weather, mike? mike w.: what an unusual week

we started the month with 65 degrees as a high temperature. today was 35 degrees. get used to the cooler temperatures, we have been so far above normal, mother nature likes to even things out. that is happening this week. anything that melted, untreated surfaces is freezing up out there. under clear skies as we drop off 28 degrees and tomorrow we starts with lots of sunshine. there are some late day clouds moving in. we have a system coming up the coast, mild, plenty of melting tomorrow, 42 to 44 degrees for your high temperatures for tomorrow. let's talk about the storm coming up the coast. here is how the map looks at 11:00 monday morning. you see what happens. this is a big, big storm. you notice where it's at. it's a little too far offshore. if it is moving this way a little bit, we change the forecast dramatically. keep an eye on the forecast tomorrow if something happens.

snow as you head down toward the cape and parts of plymouth county. part two is forming and as it lifts, it wants to follow the same path, not as big or powerful and staying quite a bit offshore. more snow on tuesday. it's a 1-2 punch going on with this system as it works its way through. so when you add all of that talking about? one to three, in the boston area down to the south, two to four inches, closer to the storm, three to six. you get the idea. if the storm system shifted this way or this way a little bit, it will change the numbers dramatically. i got some new information in, a few moments ago, i'm kind of leaning towards the lower end of these numbers at this point. we'll keep you posted as we go through the forecast tomorrow. there is a winter storm watch out, it means keep an eye on the weather south from the city to the cape and the islands, and here is a wild card, ocean effect. the winds can be out of the northeast.
