>> good morning. it was back in july when this man and woman were found guilty in this rape case and with video of the assault was posted on the social media app snap chat the victim heavily intoxicated and just 16 years old at the time. they each face multiple assault, attempted rape, and kidnapping charges. found guilty, she was found guilty on seven of the eight. the sexual assault happened in 2014 behind an elementary school. during the trial this summer the victim who knew her attackers testified that she was on prescription medication and drinking heavily. the defense arguing the encounter was consensual but the jury finding she was in no

every time a new charter school opens in massachusetts, it takes funding away from regular public schools in that area. 400 million dollars away from neighborhood public schools. that's not right. instead of draining even more money from neighborhood public schools and giving it to charters, let's devote public resources to all of our students... not just a select few. don't lift the cap on charter schools.

there's a 39 we have also 39 degrees at the airport. so it's a cool start for sure. clear skies out there now. another sun-filled beautiful day. dry, can you believe air. gorgeous. high pressure overhead. farther southeast so our winds just around the southeast today and that will keep us cooler along the coast. jumping into the mid 60s and then near 70 at lunchtime. i think we h inland areas jump into the mid 70s. it's a beautiful day but there's moisture in the middle of the country. we're watching this. today's dry, saturday's dry. as we get into sunday, a medium chance for rain but those chance goss up sunday night and into the day on monday. we desperately need this rain. the drought monitor came out yesterday, expand it had area of severe drought and extreme drought by 30%.

so we really need some rain. it's not just a one-year drought. the drought goes back a couple of years to the 12st of january of 2015 our deficit are 16, 18 inches. and this is the driest two-year stretch on record for boston. if we don't get 4.3 inches of rain it will be the driest years on record. so we need some rainfall here. expected like that at fenway. the temperatureless drop once again lots of 40's in the suburbs low 50s downtown and then this frontal boundry approaches slowly into monday. that will extend the crans for rain. but your saturday. on sunday take a look at the morning hours. might be a couple showers. but during the afternoon wet weather hangs back or north and

three named systems in the atlantic was back in 2012. not all that common to see this very active. moving through the atlantic. but karl now a tropical storm, moving as it's closer to the united states. just off the coast of the carolinas. what's left of julia. it's likely going to weaken back to a tropical you can see most offshore. some of that moisture may try to connect into this boundry moving in. if that were to happen it may enhance some of the rain potential locally. this whole system is may work in. but that will give rain later in the weekend and monday. cool dry air. with us as we head through today and tomorrow.
