lights on thursday night at the second-floor apartment of 76 phillips street in lawrence. this is where police say 21-year-old angel mateo took his 13-year-old victim thursday morning sexually assaulting the teenager for two hours. >> the victim reports being dragged into a second-floor apartment. >> that student had been walking to south lawrence east middle school and almost made it. the house on phillips only about a five-minute walk from the scho >> i am scared. >> after mateo let the victim go, the teen walked to school and called their mom, who then called authorities. police say the teen is extremely brave, providing enough details to lead them straight to mateo. he was already on pre-trial probation with an ankle bracelet, but was not a prior sex offender. >> i think to be safe, i'm going

john: he faces a judge tomorrow. the 19-year-old accused shooter was on the run for less than 24 hours, hauled into the chelsea police department accused in the shooting of 13-year-old juan lopez delgado, who was in his bedroom when he was struck by a stray bullet. tonight, the eighth-grader arrived home from the hospital still shaken after the terrifying episode. >> he told her mom, i can't be safe in my own room. i cant go back. >> his mother tells us her son was in bed when that bullet came through the wall, striking him in the left shoulder last night around 8:30. >> he was rushed to the hospital where doctors treated him overnight. >> he's shaken up. sleeping in your bed, you don't expect anything and you're on the third floor. >> police say suspect christian garcia was tracked down on i-93 in andover tonight. he was driving this suv which they impounded as part of the

the cause of a health scare on this plane is still a mystery tonight. passengers say there was a strange smell during the spirit airlines flight from atlanta to los angeles. it quickly went away. but 20 people reported feeling sick a short time later. the plane landed without any problems at lax. nobody needed to be hospitalized. the airlines is still investigating what happened. postal worker is accused of dumping mail in the woods instead of delivering it in a subdivision outside of atlanta. investigators spent more than two hours cleaning up the mess. neighborhood recorded the alleged crime and called the postal service. it's not clear why the mail was dumped. a part-time employee is now under investigation. maria: turning now to your health tonight, there new recommendations for the controversial hpv vaccine. a government panel says pre-teens only need two doses instead of the recommended three. the cdc panel references several recent studies that show two doses are just as effective in preventing cervical cancer.
