alex, what are you seeing there? alex: we just got some new information. fhp tells us this crash killed -- the driver of this van was driving the wrong way on i-4, and had a collision with a taxicab. a spokesperson says there was a bottle of alcohol in the front seat. the driver of the van had a bottle of alcohol. it reeked of alcohol. that is something witnesses also told us. this was a case of drunk driving. and because of the two deaths here. -- the cause of the two deaths here. the emergency scene you' re seeing now has been playing out since the accident happened around 3:20 this morning. fhp says the van was going the wrong way in the westbound lanes, when it crashed into the

we talked to a witness who says the taxi was behind a tow truck that swerved erratically to avoid the van. this witness was driving behind the crash at the time and he says when he got out to help, the van reeked of alcohol. from our vantage point here off of i-drive next to the holiday ve been watching as troopers investigate and as of now the westbound lanes of , i-4 remain blocked here. ted noah has a look at how this -- how to get around this. jason: we will get to ted coming up straight ahead here on wesh 2 news sunrise. let' s get that forecast first. amy: we are to the upper 80' s, even 90' s. we' re starting off with some cloud cover. sunrise is at 7:35 a.m. try air this afternoon. mostly sunny skies. i noon, 82 degrees. upper 80' s, even 90 in some spots, our warmest day of the

jason: we continue team coverage with brett connolly. michelle: shorter lines this year. brett: nearly two million people cast their votes early in the florida primary. so as you head to the polls, the lines might be a little shorter compared to previous turnouts. and important to note, you can only vote today if you are a registered republican or democrat. if you' re no party affiliation, you don' t get a say in the presidential candidates, but you can vote if your city has a local issue to decide today. your polls are open from 7:00 until 7:00, but in terms of results we won' t see those coming in till 8:00 tonight. that' s because some polls in the panhandle close at 7:00 central. also, keep in mind, several candidates who already dropped out of the race are still on the ballot. but votes for candidates like martin o' malley, jeb bush and ben carson won' t count. the most recent call from

the road was shut down for hours, while deputies investigated. right now, they do not know what caused mariano to wipe out. jason: right now, police in clermont are looking for a man with a bogus badge, who they say is dressed as a cop. jazmin walker joins us. jazmin, one woman he pulled over thought he was the real deal. jazmin: he seemed pretty legitimate to her. she says the bogus cop turned on his lights and pulled her over in clermont. restaurant parking lot. >> he came up to my window, and asked a few questions. like what's the hurry and where are you going. >> you just thought it was a routine traffic stop? >> yes, for when you' re speeding. >> and he didn' t give you a ticket, or ask for your driver's license or anything? >> no, but he did tell me the next time he saw me, he' d give me a ticket. >> so he gave you a warning?

jazmin: another man happened to be in the parking lot, and see it go down. he said the man had a gun and a grounded story are, but he thought something was odd. he called police, and when they got back to the scene, he and the woman were told no officers in lake or orange county had reported any stops. michelle: new on sunrise, north korea is threatening to test a nuclear explosion and fire more nuclear-capable rockets. the country' s leader, kim jong un, made the announcement in response to recent military drills between south korea and the united states. just yesterday, the u.s. sent a destroyer ship to japan to help strengthen ties between the two countries. and u.s. officials are also on alert for a rocket launch out of iran. they say the country has the ability to launch a rocket with a satellite on top at any minute. iran' s first ever launch of this kind. and, like north korea, it would give them a new understanding of long-range missile technology. jason: apple now has less than 24 hours to send a response to the justice department.

the founder of gawker media is expected to be cross-examined when he takes the stand today. yesterday, hogan testified about the video and his career. hogan is suing the gawker website for $100 million. he claims the website leaked the recording that shows him having sex with the wife of his friend. the trial is set to last two more weeks. jason: new information, that uber driver accused of going on a shooting spree in michigan, is now blaming the app. according to new documents released monday, jason dalton told investigators he was under the control of the uber app. six people were killed, and two others hurt through that night. he said he couldn' t describe the feeling, but that the violence monday' s release also included s arrest. along with witness accounts. dalton has been ordered to undergo mental evaluation. michelle: just into the wesh 2 newsroom, russia has pulled its first warplanes out of syria. the announcement came just over an hour ago. monday, president obama told russian president vladimir putin

putin said he hopes the move will help bring peace to syria. russia began aistrikes last year to support syria' s government in that country' s civil war. jason: happening today, michigan governor rick snyder will be on capitol hill to answer questions about the flint water crisis. the u.s. house oversight committee will hear from the governor and other key decision makers involved in the crisis during a three-day hearing. the first hearing was held in february, but neither snyder nor epa officials participated in the questioning. michelle: the diplomatic deal between the u.s. and cuba could mean tens of thousands of convicts get deported. according to the miami herald, 28,400 cuban nationals who already served their prison terms could be automatically deported. for decades, the convicts have been supervised by immigration officials after their release. jason: 6:17 a.m., and we' re news, a bit of information changing right now. one lane is back open on i-4,

jason and michelle? michelle: a new poll spells more doom for marco rubio this morning. jason: polls open in about half an hour. look at these numbers, just released by nbc news. michelle: rubio drops to fourth place in this national poll. donald trump has extended his lead for republican voters like 20 -- by 20 points. and john as past marco rubio that -- kasich has passed marco rubio nationally. jason: a trump when is looking pretty likely in the sunshine state. brett: trump and clinton both have commanding lead. there' s a lot at stake as voters head to the polls in five states. we' ve got florida, north carolina, ohio, illinois, and missouri. and here are two big numbers to

and sent two people to the hospital. crews worked late into that night in longwood on state road 434 near grant street. the intersection was closed for hours. police say four cars were involved and a hummer slammed into a power pole. one of the drivers was seriously hurt and had to be airlifted to ormc. wesh 2 spoke with a driver, who says the power lines fell on his car. >> it was a pretty big impact, because it we were not expecting the guy to darkened front of it. -- dart in front of it. a loss of power to the neighborhood, and across the street. jason: according to duke energy, the crash knocked out power to about 100 homes. michelle: tonight, friends and family will gather to remember a 15-year-old murdered over the weekend. investigators say antwan davis was shot in the head on north lakewood avenue late saturday night. so far, there' s no word on any suspects. his family told police he had an

the neighborhood. tonight' s vigil will be held at starke lake at 7:00. covering volusia county, a huge donation is going towards the homeless problem in daytona beach, but one group planning to protest today, and they say it' s not enough. jazmin walker joins us now, and jazmin what' s the issue here? jazmin: the fight is over how that donation should be spent. yesterday, the organization faith presented a $22,000 check. it was meant to help build a long talked about homeless shelter, volusia safe harbor. but thomas rebman, ceo of homeless and hungry inc., and others, protested. >> they want to build a punitive jail shelter to hide the homeless. you know we should be putting , the majority of our money in job training, mental health services, medical services.
