the three men ran from her, empty-handed. this is the second marco's pizza delivery driver to be robbed in akron the past week. >> what's going on? >> reporter: last month, a papa john's driver robbed and shot shortly after making a delivery on akron's south side. >> at the end of the day, i can not fight off three guys, but i did. >> that was chris flanagan reporting. akron police have not made and arrest in this case or last month's papa john's robbery. the fbi is assisting them, trying to crack the unsolved murder of a pizza man shot during a robbery in december. there's new video this morning of a head-on crash we first told you about yesterday on "good morning, cleveland." odot cameras caught the moment a drunk, wrong-way driver slammed into a u haul truck. the two brothers in the truck say the couple in the other car were so drunk, they tried to flee the scene. >> the lady was -- said, "i just want to go home.

for your saturday, though, we are dealing with a little bit of snow. it's moving out fairly quickly here. we're going to see kind of a lull in that moisture, and by 3:00 rain transitions back in. we want to talk about our temperatures across the board from kelly's island all the way into medina. we're looking into the upper 30s, 38 degrees for the greater cleveland area. so slightly warmer today, but as that moisture starts to track in, we'll start to see the temperatures go down. . out towards canton and akron, look at near near 40 degrees. that's at your normal mark. we'll be above normal stepping into your sunday. that just makes you feel all good inside. look at that sun, a high of 46. nick? . >> makes me feel good inside. thank you. we all know your work environment can have a big impact on whether you like your job or not. and if you're looking for a change, "fortune magazine" is out with its ranking of the best companies to work for in the u.s. we're looking into what

goggle tops the list for the seventh year in a row. workers there say the culture, which makes you feel valued and respected is a big part of this. the company also offer lot of perks, like virtual doctor visits and nap pods. four companies in ohio made the list: southern ohio medical center in portsmouth came in at 29. at 48 was highland software, creator of on base, ohio health in columbus. in 71st place is nationwide mutual insurance in columbus. the companies on that list know that keeping employees healthy is very important, but some professions wear us down more than others. the american heart association's latest study had some interesting findings. it found 68% of those in sales positions had poor eating habits, and as a result, unhealthy cholesterol level. police officers and firefighters keep us safe, but they're not necessarily safeguarding their own health.

los angeles police are testing a knife allegedly found on simpson'sest at a time more than a decade ago. multiple outlets are reporting the knife is not consistent with the murders of nicole simpson and ron goldman, but it's coming at a time of lot of renewed interest in this case. >> i was really surprised. >> reporter: a shocking discovery in the murder case involving o.j. simpson: a knife reportedly found more than a decade ago on the football star's former estate. just surfacing after being obtained by police in the last month from a retired l.a. pd officer. >> he claimed that an individual who claimed to be a construction worker provided him with this knife, claiming that it was found on the property. >> reporter: the retired officer says the construction worker supposedly worked on the property. this could have been around the time of his demolition in 1998.

>> flip flops, something, because we are talking about 60s returning to northeast ohio, well above normal for the month of march. taking a look at what's going on now, our temperatures, though, don't you dare have shorts or those short sleeves out this morning, because we're at a chilly 27 degrees at the airport, 28 out toward wayne county. cooler air tracking in from the east out toward ash taboo la county, lake, gee august bay. this is that area of low pressure. not that area of low pressure. that's that warmer air i want to talk about. i'll get to that in just a moment. low pressure that's sitting right there, moving across northeast ohio that's bringing a good swath of moisture right now into stark, summit county. these are just light snowflakes that we're seeing. temperatures at the surface, just really too dry for accumulating snow. so grassy areas out towards akron into ravenna,

look at these darker blues into the mentor area. that's madison, possibly geneva on the lake seeing some flurries. moving out to the east fairly quickly. the cooler air behind that low is a cool front. that's going to sweep in that's why temperatures not really going to be stepping out of the upper 30s. this is what i want to talk about. that's that warm air we're going to be tracking in from california all the way into albuquerque. they're dealing with a good band of moisture now, but we're going to see a different change in the jet stream, and that's what's going to allow for the warmup going into next week. so hour by hour, i do think we get a break going all the way from 10:00 a.m. to the 3:00 hour. then we transition into kind of a wintery mix. you can see, from our futurecast, just isolated pockets of moisture from akron all the way into us the catastrophe was county, and

of 5 here. you can see, from our heavy snow detector, it remains on light side, and it's moving east fairly quickly. so the -- out towards canton, lake, gee agarics ash taboo louisiana seeing heavier amounts of accumulation, but this is only picking up on those grassy areas. the area of low pressure continues to -- i do want to talk about these winds. not an issue today, but look at this system right here. this is what's going to allow for the gradual warmup coming out of the south as we head into tomorrow afternoon. we are talking winds up to 15 to 20 miles per hour. that will allow our temperatures to go back into the mid-40s for your sunday. so we're going to see a break and then snowfall from 9 to about 2:00. then that's when we transition into a little bit of rain. i know this isn't a great looking forecast, but i've

in al, the circuit court same-sex marriage ruling upheld. last night that state's circuit court issued a one-sentence order dismissing a challenge to the mayor's decision. however, the court's chief justice says other orders barring gay marriage remain. despite that, hundreds of same- sex couples have been wed in that state. the u.s. circuit court has temporarily blocked a law imposing regulations on doctors who perform abortions. the move would allow two recently closed clinics in latu reopen. the order says the court's action was in line with its decision in june to temporarily block part of a texas law that would challenge -- in another high-profile case. amazon making a move to support apple in its fight against the government. the company has disabled

pressure that is moving across the midwest and across now. behind it is a cool front. so some cooler air still for your saturday. now, this is light accumulation. temperatures right now at the surface into the upper 20s, lower 30s. that dry air is in place. so this is not that good old snow. these are just light flurries, causing roadways, bridges, overpasses could see some slick spots. but it's moving fairly quickly out towards us the catastrophe was county into ravenna area. the brunt of that moisture sitting out toward lake, gee august bay, ash taboo la county, but shifting out toward the east fairly quickly. look at this cooler air that's tracking in from minneapolis, our friends in green bay. that's that front, and that won't allow us to step out of the upper 30s today. now, this is the game changer. this is that area of low

widespread moisture out towards california, but it's going to allow for a dip in our jet stream. so look at your hour by hour. i do think we see a lull in our weather pattern here as we head into 10:00 a.m. all the way into about the 3:00 hour. then we transition into more wide-spread rain. now, you can see, these are just pockets of isolated activity out towards route 30 corridor into the mansfield area. 71 south to 77. but then the good swath of moisture really makes its way in around 5 p.m. now, look at temperatures from wayne county all the way into akron. you're at 37. so that will be kind of a wintery mix. it's lake shore communities from greater cleveland all the way towards the east that will see a little more snowfall. then it's all good. look at that. high pressure builds back in overnight into

that time change. now, we are still tracking in cooler air. this is that area of low pressure that has swept through minneapolis all the way into the chicago area. behind this low is a cool front, and that is what's bringing in that colder air across northeast ohio this morning. the feel-like temperatures are currently into the lower 20s right now. now this is that moisture. looks kind of impressive right on our radar. a lot of white on our screen. that's shifting toward pa. but from our heavy radar snow detector, it's just a heavier band out towards mentor, burton area, and it's still -- surface temperatures are very dry now. this is not accumulating snow we are seeing moving into madison, ash taboo la county, geneva on the lake, and it's moving out fairly quickly. that colder air tracking in for the rest of the day, but behind it is warmer air. . we have a massive system that

there will be -- at large presidential delegate as well as one for the voters' congressional district. republicans say only the at- large vote will count. well moving now to a bizarre story out of cincinnati, where a mom pleaded not guilty after being accused of falsely reporting her car stolen with her baby in the backseat. police say after 28-year-old nicole benton triggered a frantic three-hour search for her child and car, she took a cab to a friend's house and picked up the 18-day-old girl, and returned home. benton's lawyer called the whole thing a communication mixup, and said a his client. well a national article putting cleveland in a less than favorable light has the city firing back. leaders are not happy about a "new york times" piece that says cleveland is worst off in the united states when it comes to economic recovery. 5 on your side investigator joe paganakis went in search of the facts, and spoke to officials, who

new this morning in al, the circuit court's same-sex marriage ruling is upheld. last night that state circuit court issued a one-sentence order dismissing the challenge to the mayor's decision. however, the court's chief justice says other orders barring gay marriage remain. despite that, hundreds of same- sex couples have been wed in that state. meantime, the u.s. circuit court has temporarily

law imposing regulations on doctors who perform abortions. the move would allow two recently closed clinics in latu reopen. the order said the court's action was in line with its decision in june to temporarily block part of a texas abortion law that was challenged by abortion providers in another high- profile case. and elsewhere today, the world's most famous sled-dog race getting underway, but not without some major obstacles. how about no snow? the iditarod begins in anchorage, alaska, today, but they only had 1 inch of new snow in the last two weeks, and had no new snow for more than a month before that. they actually had to bring in seven carloads of snow from alaska. the race had to be abbreviated because of those conditions. someone joining us who knows a lot about this race, you covered it, been to it several times. >> yeah. >> growing up in alaska. >> born and raised.

radars, it kind of looks impressive, right, out towards route 30 corridor into mansfield, lake gee august bay, portage county. these are light flurries that are currently coming down toward madison into the mentor area. darker blues could see some heavier flurries. temperatures right now, they are definitely on the cool side. so if you're stepping out, you're gouge notice a few slick spots. that's that cold spot. it's well defined, but it's going to start to scoot out of here replaced with warmer air. look at san francisco, all the way into vegas. you see a change in our jet stream. that's going to allow warmer air to track in next week. so hour by hour, we'll track the rain coming in by 3:00. sticks around all the way into your evening hours. should start to subside as we head into 11. then high pressure will start to build.
