that they expect a normal turnout for a primary. >> i am hoping for a 41% voter turnout. we have heard that, you know, there is a lot of interest in this election, but if you look past, look back at past elections, this is similar. >> reporter: so if you plan to vote today, this is what you need to know and bring with you: you must be a registered voter here in ohio. and bring a form of i.d. to vote. a driver's license, utility bill or bank statement. and if you have an absentee ballot, you can return those up until 7:30 tonight. but something new this election, voters will now be able to cast their vote using location. >> and makes it easier, the voting experience for the voter as well as it will reduce any incur today. >> reporter: mcdonald said that this year more registered democrats are requesting republican ballots. and you can do that. you will just cross over to whatever party you vote.

>> i got fog in my eyes this morning. >> here it is. it's not just you but everybody. believe it or not, this is a live picture. the cars are moving there on the inner belt and other than that, we are looking at low visibilities, low ceilings here. i don't think our air tracker 5 might be fly this afternoon. we will have to tell them to keep it in the garage. the temperatures now in the lower 40s. it's chilly w again, the lack of sunshine because of the cloud cover and the fog. i expect, though, over the next few hours, the fog will burn off a bit and we may get some breaks and some sunshine here. the temperatures away from the lake are better. upper 40s to near 50. out there and shouldn't cause issues as far as getting to and election day. other than the fact that you drizzle this morning. i think for the most part, we're drying out, though. mostly cloudy skies, this is off for the most part, low clouds and fog. trying to break out toward zanesville and into toledo.

the fog to stay pretty good the next few hours. notice the clash of air masses here. the warm air to the south and cooler air to the north. one will win temporarily and dry for now and tracking rain moving in from the west. and notice some sunshine. the temperatures in the low to mid-50s and complete forecast including saint patrick's day coming up. leon. >> thank you. and the national weather service confirmed, by the way, it was an ef-1 tornado, which touched down last night in southwest ohio. the twister with wind speeds of 105 miles an hour was caught on camera. the funnel cloud is clearly seen moving behind the trees and there is another shot of it spitting behind a row of houses. this is a look at some of the damage left behind. the roof was completely torn off the home in the southern part of ohio and no one was hurt there. and coming up, caught on camera, threatening moments before a train slammed into a van. we have a police officer helping. >> and repeat champion. the winner of alaska's famous

the crash was last week in brooke park and you can see a police officer motioning the driver to get out and the driver tried to cross the tracks as the warning lights were flashing and gates were closing and no one was hurt there in brooke park. the van was heavily damaged, though. and now today, a father and son are celebrating after taking the top spot of this year's iditarod race in alaska. dallas sivy won the third iditarod thursday, he beat his old record by two hours. took him over eight days and 11 hours to race his team of dogs alaska. >> and i knew i had it when i was on front street. the rest of it was a process, rather a long process. come on in here, guys and there is a point but that happened over 300 miles. >> and his dad mitch reached the end of the race 45 minutes after his son and cad came in

and heavy rain inundated most of the entire southland and left many communities wading in the water and some towns are practically cut off from the rest of the world because of flood levels. mandatory evacuations are underway and the governor of texas declared a state of emergency for more than a dozen counties in the lone star state of texas. >> and there is a lot of rain, texas and louisiana and they're going to deal with that slowly falling waters for them. >> and unusual weather patterns this year. >> we're warmer-than-normal, third amounts and with the least amount of snow and that is sticking around until the upcoming weekend. we may have a few flurries there. on the way. >> we'll see. there is not a lot of seeing going on outside. and from the a, l, still foggy -- apl. still foggy. >> just like that.

the goal is to make sure that your employees are engaged and that becoming more healthy, hopefully more productive, and hopefully down the road, also help with healthcare dollars and healthcare expenditure. and what we do for exercise, we head out one of these -- hand out one of these devices for every employee to use and to gauge how many active minutes and how many steps they're taking every day. engagement is engagement with the community. we like to pay it forward and get people involved in either donating their time or efforts or money to something within the community and education is looking at what we call the chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and cancer and ways of preventing that and it's been shown that healthy employee wellness programs are very affective with regards to increasing health and wellness of the environment and also overall of cutting dollars with regard healthcare expenditure
