surveillance and wanted in connection with yesterday's deadly terrorist attacks in brussels. what authorities in belgium have one person in custody and this is as we now know, 31 people are dead and hundreds more injured. and elizabeth has the latest on belgium. >> reporter: this morning, a moment of silence in brussels and across belgium. a tribute for the victims killed and injured 24 hours earlier and survivors speak out about their ordeal and one woman describing how her son shielded her during the blast. >> and it was like a tornado went off inside the building and there was a second explosion and he was on top of me and threw me to the ground. >> reporter: new details are emerging and the belgium prosecutor confirming two bombers were identified as brothers khal id and brahim elbakraoui. they left behind a note in the crash.

>> he said i don't know what to do. i am on the run. people are looking for me everywhere and if i give myself up, i will end up in a cell. >> reporter: the prosecutor said the brothers had criminal records but nothing linking to terrorism and the focus is now tracking down the fugitive hot on the right in this picture. >> and [ indiscernible ] which detained explosives and the most important one and he ran away. >> reporter: the manhunt is continuing around the clock from the air and on the ground. police arresting two overnight. and -- [ indiscernible ] and the other in custody and being questioned. abc news learned the searches and arrests are taking place at an address provided to police by a taxi driver who said that that is where they picked up three men with big bags, where police discovered bomb-making

wisconsin and minnesota. we'll break it down coming up and quiet today with temperatures near 60. and during the overnight hours, police in akron busted a meth lab at a home. one man was arrested and police say that three children were inside the house at the time and police say they found many types of drug paraphernalia, glass bottles, bottles, chemicals, pills and a gas mask were confiscated. the police say the house had been on their radar for some time. and there is new video of an arrest. ed -- attempted robbery inside a metro, cs stor and they entered the store and at east 110th street and spew peerior avenue. the worker behind the counter grabbed the gun and told him to get out and several shots were fired as the suspects left the store and an innocent man was caught in the cross fire. if you recognize the suspects, call police in cleveland.

arizona, said they went more than two hours for polling at election stations. and the voter confusion led to the long lines. and new video just released of a high-speed chase during the overnight hours. that chase involves three police departments here in northeast ohio and spanned several communities before ending in a crash. nick foley shows us how it unfolded. >> reporter: it starts before 4 a.m. the dash cam records a driver going past the police cruiser at a high rate of speed on ridgewick drive. speeds climbed higher on highland avenue. the driver even surpassing 100 miles an hour several times as you can -- to join the pursuit. and the driver pulls to the right with apparent engine trouble. as we switch to euclid police dash cam video, the driver backs up and rams an suv, accelerating and continuing down euclid.

miles an hour and that is until the driver enters east cleveland, loses control and plows over a fire hydrant and barrels through a mcdonald's parking lot. >> and i would -- a lobby and heard like that and crying someone over. and the police car is after that. >> reporter: the female driver was ejected in a rollover crash, treated and transported by ems which arrived minutes later. they engaged in high-speed pursuits is a judgement call and believe this driver posed a serious threat to the public. >> and she's going over 90 miles an hour and before the officer pulled up after her. the general republicans are here in danger. >> reporter: police tell me the driver of the car was a 40-year- old woman brought here to the trauma center in serious condition. the current condition is unknown and police have not yet released her identity. reporting in cleveland, nick foley for newschannel 5. and we thank nick foley for his report on that event taking place in northeast ohio. and something else in northeast ohio is a change in the weather.
