that will kill a human being. >> reporter: a quick search online revealed website after website promising to sell the powder form. the ones i found claim to be based in china. >> so this website says they are celling the powder for $427.50 and shipping of $105. here is another website. this one selling high purity powder. it says that it will be going for $500 to $800 per gram. administration spokesperson told me that they know dealers are buying it online. but heroin users may have no idea what they are putting in their body until it is too late. >> and let's face facts here. the last worry on their mind is what happens to you after i give you that dose. >> reporter: and summit county stopped doing field testing of heroin last month ever since it started showing up. now it's sent to a lab and it will be 20 different heroin

tested. live in cleveland news channel 5. cuyahoga county saw a record month for heroin death. there were 52 just in august. police agencies continue to show that they are not messing around when it comes to our region's heroin epidemic. this man alexander deaner is facing charges in connection to the overdose death of corey williams in mentor. officers were able to use social media messages and text messages to track deaner down. facing heroin possession charges from another case. he's now serving 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in both cases. and today a new legal battle is brewing over the effort to outlaw drugs like bath salts. that drug also known as synthetic marijuana was made illegal in our state in 2011 or maybe 2012. and that is what the state supreme court justices will need to figure out. it is all because of a gas

before they were made illegal. but in another case the columbus court found the drugs were outlawed in 2011. now we have new information in the death of the 70-year-old girl in cleveland. police say that woods who was arrested in connection with the murder of brianna fluid no longer a person of interest in this case. fluid was found dead outside an abandoned building on first street near hayden avenue earlier this month. she had been shot several times. righno gunfire inside a canton home that left two people dead making the violence all the more chilling. three small children were inside at the time, the woman who managed to escape was found with her hands zip tied. our bob jones has been getting updates from canton police. bob, you spoke with a neighbor who called 911 today? >> reporter: well that 74-year- old woman told me how scary it was when a woman banged on her door and revealed some very

that the good samaritan law protects all people who help in an emergency. the ruling stems from a case involving larry reese who tried to save a man whose leg was pinned between a truck and a loading dock and accidentally set that truck rolling. well that man lost his legs. soon reese, the court agreed with him finding that he is protected by the good samaritan law. news channel 5 investigating the action of the local hospital tonight. mercy regional medical center had to issue a public stillborn child. today administrators only saying that they deeply regret the events. our tara molina is showing us how this is happening. >> reporter: similar incidents have been investigated at hospitals in minnesota and cincinnati. and so today i worked to bring you more information, asking
