we're talking about. we're watching the first tropical storm gaston and invest 99l. the national hurricane center has dropped the development chances to 70%. that's still highly high chances. this is working its way over hispaniola. the national center is displaced to the north a bit. as you head into the next couple of days, you can see most of our forecast models bringing this towards south florida by the end of this weekend and we see a few of the tracks brings it closer to the west of florida and to the gulf and some don't develop it. we'll be watching this very closely still and see if we have any rain out of this system. we'll take a look at the

florida, i'm chip osowski, news channel 8. deputies are keeping an eye on a pasco county school after they posted a gun online. that was at sun lake high school, the picture was a joke that got out of hand. if this had happened a meant from now, if that law goes into effect. that student will face criminal charges. the teen and her parents have since apologized for that twitter picture. homeowners and business chambers today, they're at odds at tampa's noise ordinance. people told city council members that the noise is so loud that they can hear the lyrics in their home. bar owners say it will prevent them from playing any music outside. >> we're here to take care of these problems. i'm in the here to criticize

development from the 2pm update from the national hurricane center. you can see the area of thunderstorms are ragged at this point the center is over hispaniola and it's still disorganized which is why we don't have a named system for the tropical depression just yet. this is off to the west and in the bahamas or south florida this weekend, we'll have to see where it's not even a defined system yet. it's tough for the models to get a grasp of where it's going. we'll have to watch it closely at this point. the waters are plenty warm in the gulf. if it moves into the gulf it would strengthen quite rapidly at this point. we're keeping a close eye at this point and we're watching gaston and that will stay out to sea with no threat to land.

any showers will quickly push into the gulf as we head into the evening hours. tomorrow morning partly cloudy skies and temperatures above average, and saturday morning it should be quiet. scattered storms friday afternoon, saturday morning looks quiet and as we head into saturday afternoon, a 40% chance of rain back into the forecast for us. so rain chances the next several days. we'll trend them a little bit up as we head into the end of this weekend, and especially next week just because uncertainty of where that tropical disturbance is going to go. we could see deeper tropical moisture indefinitely. that could easily change as you know. this is invest 99l, this is north of port-au-prince, this is the bulk of the activity, it's situated right over hispaniola, a good deal south of that area, that we're starting to watch.
