good afternoon everyone, this is first out for. we are learning that a deputy who was taken hostage by a prisoner on work detail is okay . >> we're covering the story for you right now and have the latest details. >> reporter: that evening, a frantic search going on just a sort time ago -- short time ago. it started this afternoon. somehow an inmate overpowered a deputy in this park. we are now learning more details about here working. ross locked the the other inmates into a building in this park. he then stole a work truck and abducted the deputy. the sheriffs office and bartow least quickly responded to the area -- police quickly responded to the area after the inmates broke out of the the locked room and let someone know passing by what was going on. the deputy is okay and ross is back in custody and
