arrest in a deadly hit and run from lake wales over the weekend. one woman died, and -- jessica enchautegui-otero and officer pennell. we are getting a crew looking at the suspect's vehicle. the sierra club once knew phosphate mining to be stopped until the sinkhole at that mosaic -- is a plant the large sinkhole opened in august. more than 200,000,000 gallons of contaminated water drained into the aquifer. some residents in the area are concerned that their drinking supply is still contaminated. >> one weekend my water stinks and it's brown. i wash my hair and bottled water. i wash my kids and bottled water.>> the sierra club is

colleen quirk, a neighbor who died in june. he discovered she is al little -- she is eligible to vote. according to ray, what really got to him is a conversation he had with the hillsborough supervisor of elections office. >> she said well it's not up to us. it's up to the relatives to inform us of a death so that we can remove the name from the role. >> reporter: ray suggested the roles. >> she said it's not up to us, it's up to the families. >> i said why can't you do that? she says, it's not our job. >> reporter: this letter states "our better -- voter registration database is scrubbed each night to remove felons and deceased residents." when i went through the database today, colleen quirk is still there, still eligible

state law requires the florida department of health update the board of elections monthly about people 17 years of age and older who died. that information is shared with elections offices around the state. according to the supervisor of elections, if the state doesn't notify them of a death, they need more notification than a call from a neighbor. ray spent a career defending the country so he worries about the potential for voter fraud in the attitude about it he encountered. >> it doesn't fit well and i say to those -- sit well and i say to those, why di't we the people want you to make it your job. >> according to jerry kramer, miss quirk is still listed as active because they have received no evidence of her death. no ballot has been sent to her for the election and she adds "it's disappointing that i am creating this elevated level of fear among our viewers " >> that explains it, it's your fault. quiz it right up.
