rosario coming up momentarily. a 5-year-old california girl is feeling much better right now after getting a safety pin stuck in her nose for half a year. she had a runny nose for six months and had to blow her nose every three minutes. her mom took her to three different doctors. they all looked up her nose and none saw anything. she was given antibiotics. the runny nose remained a mystery until last weekend. >> she blows it and out comes a safety pin and it was this big. it was bigger than her nose. >> chloe says she feels fine but doctors plan to follow up with her to check for infections. how did they miss that? >> i don't know. this is something they didn't mace.

>> reporter: hey, good morning, janelle on this march 3rd morning. look at that beautiful dawn out there. maybe not quite 30 minutes away right through the middle. those headlights westbound i-4 as it comes around that corner at the top of 50th street, right to the connector or right past it. the busy side, as you can see, moderate volume this morning for this time. southbound 275 down to bush the same way and then it sends out a little bit. now back to the desk. 6:32, and we're following two home invasions happening hours apart in tampa overnight. >> police are still on the scene with the second break-in on west yukon street. corey dierdorff keeps us up to date. good morning. >> definitely tense moments for the people living in this home as tampa pd has been seen going in and out all night gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.

the home invasion took place just after 3:00 a.m. when three men kicked in this home and tied up the people inside using zip ties. while tied up inside, crooks robbed them. small electronic items and jewelry were taken. police are working for a better description behind the attack as they worked to track them down right now. the good news, no one inside of the home was injured. dpd is asking for your help. corey dierdorff, answer action news. a few hours before that home invasion, another occurred in the meridian point apartments. we're told the crooks took a laptop, a wallet, another computer and cell phone. fortunately, no one was hurt. take a look at this photo.

take a look at this guy. this is william sutherland. this teen is extremely dangerous. he is linked to a winter haven carjacking that left a woman shaken. police have already arrested his accomplice and another teen. police say he held her at gunpoint after spotting her sitting in her car texting. sandra hunter says one of the suspects told her to get on the ground and somebody got into her car. when that happened, she sprinted towards walgreens to get help. >> still kicking myself for not paying more attention. >> reporter: authorities say the teens crashed her car about four hours latein t, we're told there was a third person inside that car. a missing run away, who was picked up after the carjacking apparently told detectives that the plan was to steal the car, drive to jacksonville, and commit a robbery.

step forward to decriminalize possessing small amounts of marijuana. the idea is to not penalize people to affect their future. it makes it a civil violation for possessing up to 20 grams of pot. that would main fines. they would start at $70 and go up for repeat offenses. talk about frustration. imagine waiting hours in line for help and getting turn add way as you reach the front of that line. that is the reality for some identity fraud victims. you see them lined up right here. they waited six hours outside of the tampa irs office to get the money they were owed. >> that's why everybody complains about washington, d.c. this is really frustrating for many, many people. >> reporter: the irs says lines like these are common because of cut we'll be right backs and staffing challenges both here in florida and all around the country. as the tax deadline next month approaches, they say the lines will only get worse.

escaped from a jail near jackson, mississippi. rafael mccloud is his name. he escaped yesterday morning. authorities say he took a jail guard hostage, took his jacket and used his keys to get out. he pleated nod guilty in january. an investigation is under way at a suburban atlanta elementary school where a 4- year-old boy was sent home on the bus wearing only his underwear. the pre-schooler had an accident at the end of the school day on friday and soiled his pants. he took his pants off and his teacher gave him a sweatshirt to tie around his waist. when he got on the bus to go home, his teacher resigned. the boy's mom says other teachers who saw her son without pants on should also be held accountable. >> teachers are mandated reporters. how do you walk by a school of teachers and get on the bus in
