there will be tropical storm watches for the area. now, i think it will be the northern counties. it will get into that in the second. if you look outside, partly cloudy scattered storms, a tropical air mass is out there. you can tell by walking outside, it's very muggy and thunderstorms are moving on. and, citrus has a few more showers. it's pretty quiet. tomorrow is not a bad day. quickly. will it be a complete utter disaster? i don't. but let's get into this right now. temperatures are in the lower to middle 80s we cooled off into the upper 70s when we have the rain and now we're back to 80 in tampa, and a classic pattern, we have seen the last week. the mornings are sunny the afternoons are stormy. we kind of get that. tomorrow i think that we will
6:17 pm
and then all of a sudden things will change. if you are going out this evening, most areas remain dry you can't rule out an isolated shower. we had a decent line of rain roll through and that was most of the energy. and, they have to reload tomorrow and it's so doing so by beginning of the day. you will see this in the lower 90s tomorrow by the afternoon, there are your storms. now late tomorrow night, we begin to see the subtle change and by first thing wednesday morning we are in it, the biggest change right off the bat it will have the flow come in off of the gulf of mexico. and over the next 36 hours, we're going to have an opportunity to get its act together. and this will still give us rain. there is lunchtime on
6:18 pm
band of rain come in. more than likely not like a healthy tropical system where you have very distinct areas of wendy gusty weather, more than anything is unsettled and kind of nasty starting wednesday afternoon. and, overall rainfall through evening hours on wednesday, it's not bad. all of a sudden wednesday night, thursday and thursday night will be your heaviest rain. the way i see this, as you -- if you have along the coast your chances of heavy rain are much higher east. the closer you are to the beach the heavier the rain will be. now, here is a look at that satellite picture you have to give it this over the last six or seven days this has died come back, it has been a fighter. now, over the next six hours the center will clear cubit and it will finally have an opportunity to tap this water up here 90 and it will develop
6:19 pm
explosive development for a number of reasons. but let's say that it gets it going. here's where this is good news for us, that trough will take down and accelerate the storm northeastward. it will prevent this from getting any stronger when you go wednesday afternoon on. to and better for us, look how much faster this moves in a 24 hour increments. so will not have as much time to dump water because it will not be like a layna, folks have lived there all their lives. no, a layna just after four days and we had a ton of rain. this is not that storm. now, the thing that we have to watch out for this is the classic tropical system set up for isolated tornadoes. not the kind that you get up north very small, quick hitting many tornadoes in a sense. they don't last long but that is something that a look for a tornado watch for our area wednesday night into thursday.
6:20 pm
track. i do believe that we will see a tropical storm watch part of area tomorrow an outside chance of a hurricane and watch for areas up to the north based on this i do believe that this will intensify but i do not believe that this is going to turn into a major issue for our area. coastal flooding, gusty wind, heavy rain and if you isolated tornadoes -- and a few isolated tornadoes. the temperature is upper 80s, and obviously we will be updating 24 hours a day on facebook and a live chat tonight at 7 pm on my page and the stations page. i will answer those questions. and, you can get the answer tonight. but for us, it is out of here and the weekend is on the way. a terrifying encounter in atlanta. an carjacked someone with a high-powered weapon.
