days. a state of emergency already declared in at least two states and we have team coverage up and down the east coast. ginger is starting us off in the panhandle in st. mark's, florida. >> good morning. here in st. mark's where it was a nightmare for so many of us. we were in the eye of the storm. this thing past and made landfall east of us by a few miles. flooding a big concern. i can easily walk into waist deep water and this is a tropical storm in south georgia moving northeast threatening the east coast. >> we got to move. oh. >> reporter: overnight hurricane hermine lashing the southeast. winds over 80 miles per hour. storm surge reaching up to six feet. it's been a night of tornado warnings, torrential rain, the eye just a couple of miles away. hermine is the first hurricane in more than a decade to rock the sunshine state.

all right. we're talking about hermine and how it continues to impact us. this is 75, 70 mile-per-hour storm now, which of course would make it a tropical storm. it was a hurricane, the first one to hit florida in ten years. it has 80 mile-per-hour winds. transitioned into a big flood event for georgia. the winds are still gusty there, but for us, it just continues to feed into the tropical moisture. we have pockets of lightning as well. along with that the severe wind gusts. in fact, not neck nickally severe, but 40, 50 mile-per- hour winds -- not technically severe, but 40, 50 mile-per-

and more of the problem is that pain actually begets more pain. you can have a source of pain. if it's not treated it spreads throughout the body very much like these magnets and so you can start with pain in your neck, if not treated develop it in your back, shoulder, head and that's when acute pain becomes chronic pain and it is psychologically and physically debilitate doctors often prescr opioids for their people want to walk out of that doctor's office with a prescription in their hand but there are so many side effects. >> there are side effects and, listen, not one size fits all. opioids have their role in treating acute often surgical pain. but they come with a huge list of side effects and obviously an increased risk for dental addiction.dependence and they have their role but for chronic pain you really need to start looking at other things and that's why this study from the nih which was a compilation
