but i just think donald trump is also putting people on notice that if there are irregularities or voter fraud or large-scale malfeasance that's committed he's not just going to want to investigate that but we'll have to see what happens. his first statement and this one taken together you see somebody willing to accept the election absent widespread fraud >> that's not what he said. what you just said, you said something important. you said al gore if you would have asked him before the election in 2000 will you commit would have said yes just as every single candidate in american history has. that's not what mr. trump did last night. he was asked specifically are you willing to commit to the principle of the peaceful transition of power that the loser concedes to the winner and he says i'll tell you at the time. he wouldn't do something that every other candidate has done. >> well, he loves the country and it's why he ran for president and he respects the principl principles of democracy it's just that he can't say what's going to happen if the election

few votes here and there, if as was the case in 2000, george, if one state like florida is less than 600 votes as was the case then we just don't know what will happen. but obviously i think that there are many high notes last night. i think one very important point that was new is donald trump challenging hillary clinton to give back the money that her foundation has taken from countries that don't respect women whereas he said gays are thrown off buildings and women have no votes. she did not respond. i hope the clinton will take that seriously and give back money to countries who don't respect women especially someone who said she's fighting for women. >> we'll take those to the clinton campaign. so mr. trump, his position right now is that he's not going to commit to accepting the results in advance of november 8th. that is rock hard? >> you heard what he said last night. think if you take that in combination with his earlier statements, you find a candidate who is willing to respect the

fair shot. you know, if you're donald trump you don't get a fair shot most days. we saw just this week, 96% of de nations given by working journalists went to hillary clinton. he got 4% of them. we saw just this week you have specific journalists colluding with the clinton campaign asking them if he'd like to edit a piece before it's filed or asking if they're upset with a particular package that was put on the air on the tv or radio. this is not how a full and fair democracy works. we would just l >> is he saying that questions about press bias are reason enough to question the results of the election? >> no, what he is saying is when you talk about a rigged rupt system and somebody who's been there for 30 years as an insider you can't possibly look at that person and say there is a change maker, somebody who will adhere to democratic principles and improve the economy, defeat radical islamic terrorism, make our schools better.

hillary clinton said vladimir putin would rather have a puppet as president of the united states. she was referring to donald trump. that is a very serious charge. what was she specifically suggesting there? >> well, i think she was commenting upon donald trump's own words and one of the things i noticed last night again and again and again, even though the fbi and the director of national intelligence has confirmed that russians are behind attacks on american electoral institutions, democratic national committee, donald trump kept trying to defend vladimir putin. >> let's stay on the topic of russia. we are learning from these leaked e-mails about what hillary clinton said behind closed doors about her paid speech, last night she was asked about her dream of open borders but instead of answering the question she pointed the finger at russian hackers. the question here is, should that information about what was in those e-mails, if true, still be information that we receive

>> well, i think it's very fair to ask questions about, you know, border policy, immigration policy, trade policy. sure, it is and i know hillary clinton's position. she wants to do comprehensive immigration reform with a number of elements including a path to citizenship but also including dramatic increases in border security just like i voted for in the senate in june of 2013. >> hillary clinton has had a substantial lead in the polls but trump pointed out and many others did as well she disappeared from the campaign trail in the days leading up to last night's debate. what will see in these final weeks, will we see more of her? >> oh, yeah, absolutely. look, hillary takes the debate preparation very seriously and as she said in the first debate, she doesn't apologize for preparing for a debate and doesn't apologize for preparing to be president of the united states but we are doing intense campaigning. i'm in north carolina today. today is the first day for early voting here. all over the country, early

upper 80s once again. the front comes in quietly friday nights, no rain but you'll feel it with the breeze coming in saturday morning. by then temperatures already in the 50s and low 60s. highs only in the 70 with very low humidity. gorgeous for the weekend. then continuing into early next

good morning. we have a minor crash on the selmon expressway. this is going to be in the westbound lanes between fall kenburg and 301. just before 301 you can see it's blocking the inside lane. we have a little slowdown. this is the lower level so the one that is most not affecting the drive times on the selmon too much. 7 minutes from i-75 to downtown. that is pretty typical for this time of morning. a quick check of i-4, 13 minutes from 75 to 275. taking a look outside, this is i-275 at fowler. one of the busiest spots for our morning drive heading southbound. but look at the cars, they are just sailing along, looks like we're finally out of that morning rush hour. checking the drive times across the bridges, still a little slow on the howard frankland, 11 minutes to cross. 13 minutes across the courtney

across the gandy bridge. a lot of sunshine as you saw from the traffic cams there. we'll show you more of the same with beautiful conditions throughout the day today. big range in temperatures. we're in the time of year now, summer, just going up 10 degrees. we jump 20 degrees from this morning's low to the afternoon high which means we're still warm today, upper 80s this afternoon i think. then the temperatures once again through the tomorrow morning still cool but compared to what mild. widening out the shot titan doppler radar not showing much. once again for today we're locked into this dry air mass. that will result in very few clouds mostly sunny conditions and no rain as i see it now. temperature around 87 to 4 degrees above average for this time of year. the futurecast, you can see the front headed in our direction and will bring the coolest air mass of the season.
