but your weather ted lines look like -- headlines look like this. mainly dry for the first part of the workweek. but there are a few changes on the horizon. i'm going to talk about that in just a minute. first let's take a look at the current temperatures around the bay area. since the sun is set, temperatures are already starting to drop. we're in the 70s around much of the bay area. and again, our temperatures did drop a little bit with the advent of that cold front our dew points dropped a little bit. so we saw dew points in the 50s and 60s and that's definitely a little bit more comfortable so we had lower humidity and it felt pretty nice across the weekend. in fact for the workweek about the same. take a look another titan doppler radar -- at titan doppler radar. really not seeing anything on the radar, there are a few possible showers but this may not even be reaching the ground. there was just traces, really nothing that was registered today and in fact that's going
6:17 pm
here's the weather pattern, we have winds out of the northeast and -- becoming a little bit more easterly over the next 24 hours. going to try to bring some of that moisture in but mainly dry. especially for the first half of the workweek. you're going to see the eastern part of the state is going to see a few showers but by the time it makes it into the bay area, most of that will dissipate. maybe our inland counties could see again a trace of rain. but then, moisture does approach us on is a really pretty weak cold front. it's not going to do much and may not even bring us any rain. the computer molds are kind of disagreeing about this. but it will bring us some drier air. but here's the big story. around the rest of the nation it's been very, very warm. high temperatures minneapolis, 70. chicago 70. for early november? it's kind of crazy. the reason why? well here's a jet stream. it's way up in the north so it's keeping all that cold air bottled up way up in the north.
6:18 pm
days. first we see a dip in the jet stream. that's the first front we talked about on wednesday. most of the energy stays up to the north. but then as we head into saturday another front comes through again a little bit more drier air but here's the big story. look at this. and again this is computer model ten days out. so things could change. but a big dip in the jet stream and that's when we could see some cooler air move into our area. again, this is wednesday the 16th. so that's ten days out. but forward to -- to look forward to. so that's the first chance of cooler air. so boaters in the meantime winds out of the northeast 15 knots and seas 2 to 3 feet and waters and here's your tides. next high tide at st. petersburg pier at 5:54. so your forecast overnight lows 65 degrees and partly cloudy skies and comfortable. and your afternoon high tomorrow tops out at 82 with a sun and cloud mix and a light breeze. we don't expect any rain for the first part of the workweek
6:19 pm
that second front that moves in on the weekend looks like it will be dry. so for the most part, looks like a pretty comfortable week. guys? the nhl season isn't even a month old yet so naturally teams like the lightning still trying to figure themselves out. though the consistency is what every hockey team trying to do before the playoffs arrive. now we saw the long way to go before that to happen. five months to be exact. so there's no reason to be concerned but the three periods of hockey. last knight against new jersey, the perfect example of that. lightning started the game slow getting outshot and trailing early. it wasn't until the second period when the bolts finally woke up. lightning scored twice in the second and twice in the third to eventually win the game 4 of 1 and one of the goals right here came from the rookie braden point. his first career nhl goal. but the fact the lightning are starting the games sluggish needs to change. >> looks like we you know -- was not our best.
6:20 pm
second and set the tone and over 20 shots. and i think the third period as well we played pretty good. >> every season you can improve on and something you want to get better at. right now it's the first period and going through this season i'm sure we're going to find another you know achilles in our game. but at the same time, you get to find ways to win and get teams to do that and we'll do that. quiet day in football right here in the bay area, buccaneers enjoying the sunday off and that means we're not talking about a loss. oh well a victo falcons will give the bucs time to get healthy. well, the better idea tomorrow will have mike evans' status. in concussion protocol and dirk cutter said on friday evans should be able to practice coming up here on monday. now he's the only buccaneer dealing with some injuries. here's the list of the injuries from thursday night's games and smith and jones don't for the year -- done for the year, the other four buccaneers on the list the injuries not serious, the status though for next sunday's game against the bears
