4:47 pm
this date is 43. the afternoon low is 30. weave we're nowhere close to that over the last couple of weeks. taunton 61 degrees this afternoon. plymouth coming in at 60. boston and beverly at 58. orange at 52. so a good jump up in temperatures once we did shake off that fog this morning. temperatures right now still mild. 55 in boston, 57 plymouth. 53 in worcester. the breeze is out of the south, 6 to 12 miles per hour, so a little bit of a breeze plus the sun getting higher in the sky in terms of its angle throughout the day was just enough to peel away that fog right around 10:00 or 11:00 this morning. look at the dew point levels in the upper 40's to near 50. that is high this time of year. the reason why i point this out is because when the temperature drops to the dew point level, relative humidity close to 100%, then it's easy for fog to form once again. so i do expect us to see some patchy fog redevelop at least if not a little more widespread as we go through the course of the evening hours into tonight. so keep that in mind. could be some localized dense fog out there. temperatures remaining mild
4:48 pm

4:50 pm
o'neill tunnel. delays on the mass pike westbound. those brake lights are heading out toward exit 17. the newton watertown off ramp about a 48 minute ride from boston out toward the natick area. delays here too a lot of red on the map unfortunately. 93 northbound and center of the screen coming up into the stoneham area and southbound you see that back up on the expressway as well. but downtown not much of a backup here thankfully. 93 northbound and southbound still moving well in the right hand side of the screen. left hand side they are clearing a break down in the storrow drive up ramp. joe staple ton, 7 news . >> anchor: for those of us in the hearing world the holiday season is fill with music and special thing. kids that can't hear often miss out on some of that magic . >> anchor: that's unless they get to sit on the lap of a santa that communicates in their language. messages signed directly to santa in a florida mall.
