>> anchor: there is a dense fog early this morning. once that did break, the temperatures roughed up and jump jumped up quickly of upper 50's to lower 60's out there this afternoon. still mild at this hour. 54 degrees in boston, 56 in plymouth. we've cooled to 42 in fitchburg and with the dew point levels into the 40's to near 50 and air temperatures cooling toward these dew point levels humidity jumping up close to 100%, we've already seen areas of dense fog start to form out there across a half. that will become more widespread this evening and overnight tonight and in terms of areas of fog redeveloping as those dew point levels and temperature go side by side in the winds light, not really enough to mix up the atmosphere. other than, that we just had patchy mid to high level clouds throughout the day. temperatures overnight tonight, coolest suburbs will be in the upper 30's but generally
6:15 pm
into the mid 40's on average as that fog redevelops. so be careful of the reduced visibility tonight early fog tomorrow once again will peel away and get back to a mixture of sun and clouds and gone ben mild, 5 to 60 degrees. second half of the weekend changing things up a bit instead of the wind being out the southwest or out of the west we're going back to the east northeast and that means cooler temperatures north of that front 40's to near 50 degrees in many sunday afternoon. so you can see sunday afternoon and the upper 40's city of boston up through the merrimac valley. lower to middle 50's still possible through southern worcester county, black tone stone valley and down into bristol county but overall the theme is sunday being the cooler of the would weekend days and cloudier of the two weekend days and with an on shore flow maybe just enough moisture in place to rule out a past of drizzle. not much rain sunday. better chance of soaking rains comming in late monday into monday night especially monday night highlighting that as the best opportunity to get some
6:16 pm
energy coming out of the rockies that will push eastbound in toward texas creating severe weather situations sunday morning out through texas over toward lose anna. not expecting severe weather here but this area of low pressure will bring us in that rain as we get into late monday, monday night, monday during the day itself patchy drizzle. patches possible. temperatures monday spending most of the time into the 40's to near 50 degrees. that 5 to 60 degree reading, that's not until late monday, more likely monday night temperatures will spike up and out. could get another round of rain coming in here thursday afternoon into friday morning. >> reporter: one day after rob grokowski returned to practice, julian edelman joining him on practice field today. practicing for the first time since breaking his left foot four weeks ago against the giants, 7's alex corddry has more from foxboro on brady's top two targets. good to be out there . >> anchor: julian back at

grokowski made his appearance stretching together and greeting each other with a high five. me and gronk got a high fiv fiving thing that brady just could never get that one time . >> reporter: jokes aside, it's encouraging to see him back in practice less than four weeks after breaking his left foot . been working hard and we have a good staff in here so it wasn't necessarily a surprise . but many people were surprised to see him back so quickly. it's hopefully a good sign to see him back for the playoffs at least. doing it safely and then smart and just trying to improve each day . >> anchor: the same goes for gronk. he is listed as questionable for sunday's game h houston . it feels good to be back just with my teammates. just mentally feels good to be back with them. out on the practice field. any other questions, you have to talk to coach belichick . grokowski didn't take any questions from reporters but he posted a video on twitter last week saying he will return to game action when he is 100%.

huge part of the nba over overall is confidence and those guys are as confident as you can be right now. other attention to detail is great but really just that confidence that comes from whip whipping a championship last year and going through the battle . the thing about us is every night we're focused. it's not, you know, even in the fourth quarter of a closed game i don't think anybody is thinking about if he lose the streak is over. let's figure out how to win this game. that's a mind set you have to develop and we have it. >> reporter: the red sox holiday caravan rolling along today begin wag stop at the shriner's hospital for children. a group of players including craig kim ball spreading holiday cheer to patients at local hospitals and nice introduction to boston for the team's new closer. i am happy to be here in boston. happy to come and do things like in this off season but excited to get on the field and get
