neighbors say that home ignited in a matter of mites. byron barnett has more on that investigation. her the fire trucks coming, i looked out and could see smoke coming up from the top of the house . >> reporter: a fire take the lives of two people at this home in worcester . at first i thought maybe it was something at the church but then we realized it was the house across the street. >> anchor: according to neighbors, the two people killed were an elderly brother and sister who lived in the home for a long time. it is very heart breaking . >> anchor: the worcester deputy fire chief said the department was able to knock the flames down quickly and get the two out of the house, but . they remove the victims to give them a shot but unfortunately they succumbed to their injuries . >> reporter: this was a two alarm fire but that doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous. smoke is as fatal as the actual flame itself. you don't need a lot of fire to . >> anchor: in the daylight you can see some of the damage, how the fire burned right through the roof.
