>> sarah: breaking news right now. new details on chandler jones' hospitalization. we will join dan hausle on the phone with new breaking details. dan, what do you have for us? >> reporter: well, the town of foxboro has released a timeline. description of the police interaction with chandler jones when he showed up at the police station sunday morning. it describes an officer

police station that as he showed up for work. the officer says the individual had a muscular build, over six feet tall and long arms. they described him as shirtless man wearing blue sweat pants. they say that he scurried through the lot where the cruisers were park. then went to the back of the police station, the police-only entry and without warning or provocation, the individual abruptly got down on his knees and placed his hands behind his head. the officers said the individual was looking for help and assistance. they say they brought in the paramedics and that the individual, jones, mentioned that he left his keys at home. police say and quoting here, "officer went to the house and found the door open. he knocked on the door and called out. on entering the kitchen, he observed keys on the kitchen counter. while in the house, he noticed the smell of burnt marijuana." the statement from the police

notified the paramedics. that led up to the radio conversation you heard about class d being found in jones' apartment. there is further description from the officer elsewhere. and it talks of jones making a beeline for the police station's rear door and without warning or provocation, getting down on his knees, interlobbing his hands behind his head. the officer says, "like a man trying to surrender. he was literally as stiff as a board. he was both upright and rigid." they said that the man showed the same movement of praying or worshipping at times. trying to get up, the movement, the motion repeated at least twice. then the officer says that the man's face was against ground and he turned to watch me as i approached him. we asked this man to identify himself. we asked him to tell us what

according to the document, this man stated "i'm chandler jones." he kept telling us he had been told to come to our police station. mr. jones was unable to provide us with a plausible explanation. it was quite evident mr. jones was desperately seeking our assistance. and this is interesting here. and i quote "he had certainly not committed any crimes nor had he violated any laws or town bi-laws. mr. jones was not armed. he did not have narcotics on his person or in his possession." it says "even though at times mr. jones... there is a few words deleted there. he still managed to be polite, cooperative, and respectful." they had mr. jones evaluated by the foxboro fire department
