the nfl. dahndown, 7 news -- dan hausle, 7 news. >> kim: more breaking news out of gillette. gronk missing practice for a second time this week. we know where he was today. let's get details from sports director joe amorosino. >> reporter: two days before the patriots divisional play-off game rob gronkowski needed an injinx. he missed to us' practice and was limited as a participant session. gronk injured the knee on november 29, returned on december 13 against houston and appeared fine. in the patriots regular season fin ally in miami. the patriots remain hopeful that gronk's knee will respond well to treatment and that he will be ready to go on saturday against the chief. alex reporting live at gillette stadium with more on the patriots practices without gronk again, alex.

night's snowstorm in what police say was an accident that probably couldn't have been avoided. she leaves many colleague, friend and family who are devastated. they say she was an exceptional human being. >> she was very giving, very loving. always had a smile. >> beautiful heart. >> did so much for so many people. >> reporter: bill and linda overcome with grief after losing their youngest child. >> doorbell rang. >> at the moment -- >> in my heart went to my feet. -- >> when they said -- >> reporter: lori was driving home from work during tuesday night's snowstorm coming down this hill in hamstead, new hampshire, when her car skidded off the road. police saylory got out to call for help on her control phone. >> a vehicle came up behind her and ran into the same scenario and slid the same way into her. and struck her vehicle and struck her.

>> lori was an exceptional person. >> reporter: lori worked with pre-schoolers at community action head start program in haverhill. colleagues who stood near her new empty desk say she was' children. >> she was' fun in the classroom, fun to work with. parents loved her. it's, if you didn't like you. >> reporter: bill dawe, a retired firefighter has seep many tragedies. now he and his family are suffering through their own. >> my heart is broken. and -- >> my baby. my baby. she was such a gift. >> reporter: the driver is a 17-year-old from derry, new hampshire. police say there was no alcohol, drugs or excessive speed involved. this was just a tragic accident from lori's parents say that their hearts go out

as well. that is the story live from hamstead, new hampshire, i'm byron barnett, 7 news. >> adam: turning to the latest in the fight against isis, the terror group claiming responsibility for a deadly atook in indonesia's capital city. at least two explosions rocked downtown djakarta, one of the blasts went off outside of a starbucks moments after that, two gunman opened fire on crowds of people. seven people were killed in these attacks including five militants and two civilians. 23 others were injured. police say the attackers had guns, grenades and suicide belts. the attacks happened in a shopping area where it's a many western stores nearby and isis is saying that the targets of the attacks were foreigners. >> kim: in the race for the white house republicans set for the first debate of the new year. tet cruz had a big lead in iowa that seems to have disappeared. at the same time questions came up about his birth place
