curve balls thrown at him. but nothing like what he saw this morning . so i woke up this morning our other roommate knocked on my door and he said your car is not here . >> anchor: his car was towed along with the cars of his two roommates. all three baseball players at $1 $132 towing fee each. plus a $50 parking ticket for the city. in part of the problem these athletes say is that the city didn't tell them a parking ban was in place. when he told me our cars were towed i was kind of like the roads weren't even bad. i just was really confused about it . >> anchor: in these guys were the only ones. across town these grad students move their cars in the nick of time. they say they got notified all right but well after the parking ban started. last night they declared a ban but their message didn't go out until 1:00 a.m. >> anchor: in a statement for the city manager's office city leader admit they made a mistake saying "on occasion the timing

allow residents ample time to move their vehicles. therefore, general forgiveness is being granted for all tickets issued in relation to the park parking ban declared between january 17 and 189." for ashton he said the city needs to do better . it's not about the money kelly, it's the principle. they can take my car but if they let me know first that's on me. if they don't that's on them and now we have an issue. >> reporter: we did ask the think about all those cars that were towed if they will refund that money as well. they said they will get back to us and when they do we'll let you know. in worcester tonight, kelly o'hara, 7 news. >> anchor: so a lot of us woke up to snow on the ground and there is a possible chance still very early, bree, that we may . it is. i think it's more safe to say that there is a storm that will form for the weekend but track intensity and what that means for each location, that's still up in the air but we'll get to the details i do know coming up next. at wegmans we believe the

. >> anchor: we had to wait a while. the first in or more in many spots boston picking up just over three inches, just over force worcester. we are far off from what is normal for this part of the season. as far as snow goes accumulating snow that is done for us but you can see the lake effect machine
6:17 pm
and we know that the gusty winds are out there. every once in a while one of these snow showers tries to pop up and then it just disappears. it could cause some brief flurries and then it's gone but as we head through the evening hours most likely spots to see that will be south of the mass pike as those winds keep craig craiging out of the west northwest and woe get sunshine again for us tomorrow but it's what i like to call a cat on a window sill day when it's more comfortable to be inside looking out than outside and wanting back in. current temperature in the teens and in the low 20's, 23 for boston, but it feels like it's in the single digits for most places. one degree is what it feels like in worcester. it feels like 8 in boston. that's bus of gusty winds still gusting around 25 to 30 miles per hour as you get into boston and inland but look at that 40 mile-per-hour gust still in provincetown where there is still a wind advisory in effect. now we will see those wind gusts strengthen into tomorrow
6:18 pm
40 to 50 mile-per-hour gusts and that's why there is wind advisor advisory that's in effect all across the bay state for tomorrow, northwest winds 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusts to 50 but that takes the wind chill readings, the real feel temperatures, down quit a bit. tomorrow morning single digits, teens, throw those numbers away because this is what it feels like between zero and ten below, these are the numbers that we'll need to dress for as we head back out to the bus stop. now all of the questions today were not about how much snow will the city see, it's all about what's happening this weekend. we do have cold air in place and here come the moisture source but the track is still just a question. a big question mark here because it could stiff a little further to the east and then we see all snow that could shift further to the west and then we get more rain so that rain snow line where does it set up, how much snow are we in for, where is the bull's eye. we'll nail down those details as we get through the next couple of few days but here is
6:19 pm
the cold is sticking around with us all throughout this week. >> reporter: if patriots move on to their th super bowl in the brady belichick era you can't say they didn't earn it beating the hottest team in football in the divisional round then exercising some demons in denver a place that's been really a house of horror over the years. that would also mean going through payton manning again. he and brady set for the fifth playoff dual. they split the previous four match-ups, three of which have come in the afc championship game and home team has won every time. they are 17th head to head over overall matchup could be their last and brady says he has got nothing but respect for his longtime time rival. i think we just have known each other for a long time and being in the same profession for all of these years anding at different events we developed a good friendship. it's petty remark will for him

and led the team to great win and steelers are preying as well as any team in a league. league.. that was a huge win for them yesterday. it would be fun to play another payton manning led team. >> anchor: brady doesn't compete directly against manning that's really bill belichick's job and despite some recent hi tory he is usually found a way to get inside payton manning's head. a trend that continued yesterday after the broncos divisional win against the steelers. s . i will talk about them all wednesday. how do you feel about them ripping off your line? i haven't given it any thought at all. will that be the big story for the week? tremendous experience running this offense and having control of things at the line of scrimmage and doesn't make it easy for them. you can outsmart yourself by trying to play troop of a mind game.
6:21 pm
>> reporter: julian will elman and a healthy rob grokowski back in the saddle fates are a different team offendively. the two combining for 17 catches 183 yards and two scores against the chiefs and looking like the kind of team the broncos knew they would be facing all along . they are all there. they are always in position so a lot of respect for them, five af afc title games in a row that we have a lot of respect for them. it's a big challenge for us. i think it's exactly what everybody pretty much started with how it was going to especially up as far as us. it just fell likes that's how it would be when it came down to it. couldn't happen no better way, man. only way to go to the super bowl is to go through them. >> reporter: it never gets old old. david krejci skating with the b b's in practice for the first time since suffering an upper body injury on december 27. he will travel to montreal with
