here under a the beginning of the storm features rain not snow because temperatures are in the upper 40s to around 50, it will be a process where we see the rain change over to snow. somewhere between i would say 3:00 and 5:00 around the metro. the warm air is going to fight like the dickens to hold on to itself and that eventually the cold air does win. we see the rain/snow line work on to the cape but for a few hours tomorrow morning it's going back and forth but the cold air witness out. snow tomorrow morning in metro boston. a slow go with many cities and towns between 5-7 inches of snow. the city of boston has gone ahead and closed schools for tomorrow in boston. probably a great idea because travel will be poor to say the least tomorrow morning across much of southern new england. lighter apples of snow down through -- amounts of snow but lighter meaning that the numbers aren't as high but it's a heavy wet snow.

shovel, plow and travel on. also the concern of minor power disruptions because winds will be out of the northwest between 10-20 tomorrow. the northwest wind was blowing offshore so there is no concern of coastal flooding, that is the storm system we deal with tomorrow and for the weekend a mix of clouds and sunshine saturday and sunday. with this cold front trying to come into new england. there are signs that perhaps we deal with senator storm early next week but the thing about tomorrow is it's the toughest from about 5:00 am to 2:00 pm tomorrow and things wind down tomorrow afternoon. in terms of travel plans as of now i would keep them. i would allow extra time for travel but if you have date night set up keep the plans because the brunts of the storm is tomorrow morning then we wind the snow down early to mid-afternoon around the region. a little later down through the cape and the islands.
