out? well, your hair-do may not fare too well. it is humid out there. scattered showers will hold off, i think, for the next couplele of hours. and you see the heavier rainfall to our west. four to six inches. even seven inches of rainfall through upstate new york and pennsylvania earlier today. that is not so much what's working in for us. but rather some tropical moisture to our south. you see this plume right here where my arrow : is that is stretching in our direction from the south too the north. as we get into later this evening. you see we are already at 5:00. some breaks of the cloud cover for some sunshine throughout the afternoon. today, allowing for those temperatures to warm up. then we see the wet weather come into play. and oranges, yellows, reds, showing up here indicating some heavier downpours. we could really get dumped on from time to time. the key here is where does that heavy rainfall actually end up? so while some of us get a quarter of an inch to half an inch, others could pick up
12:17 pm
rainfall as we head through the later hours of today. now, watch what happens as we roll through the timeline into saturday and even into early sunday. seeing some purples and blues and some pinks showing up here. that does indicate the first snowfall. now, i think this is very aggressive. what you are seeing here in worcester county. i don't believe we will see snow there. however, there is the first snowfall on the way for many areas, northern new england, stretching through the berkshires. as the temperatures drop behind that cold front. for us rain. widespread, half an inch to an inch with localized downpours picking up between two, even three inches not out of the question. we might have to watch for some flooding conditions as we get into this evening. of course, jeremy reiner will be here to track it all for you make sure you tune in for updates. wind gufss as we gets into the weekend really pick up for saturday afternoon. and then sunday, downright gusty. so something you will want to pay attention to. it will be knocking down the leaves.
