minutes tops. dry until thursday and then rain comes at us thursday afternoon. that may, that may start as some sleet. worcester hills, southern new hampshire on thursday afternoon. rainfall october, yeah, we had a lot of it last friday evening. you know that. for the city of boston 4.07 inches of rain averaging about an inch above normal. this would be the first point for the city where we have above noral rainfall since february over all for the year run to make it up somehow. you don't want friday night happen day after day but you grab these rainstorms when you can and there is another one coming at us early friday morning. i do interthink it will be quit as rambunctious as the one on friday night because that one coming at us won't tap into any tropical moisture. 50's right now the city at 57. norwood at 56. bedford at 55 with a mix of clouds and sunshine. a beautiful evening. granted it's going to turn cool. it's that time of year where once you lose the sun you lose

through the day tomorrow when we get the sun back it's going to be tough to warm things up with high pressure coming out of canada, brag draging these temperatures with it this afternoon. the adirondacks, northern new england, green mountains even into the berkshires temperatures are in the 40's and i don't think we're going to are i do think we'll see temperatures to that tomorrow afternoon. so for tonight partly cloudy skies that wind will fade away it's chilly overnight tonight and we hold on to that chill for the entire day tomorrow. lots of sunshine, breezy, up i 40's to around 50. the city right at 50 degrees, norwood 49. attleboro at 48. the merrimac valley upper 40's with partly to mostly sunny skies, again a northwest wind about 10 to 20 miles per hour. into the worcester hills jaffrey 45, barre 46. makes racing leaves tough of i was out there this morning with my wife and i was like put that there. we have to do that again tomorrow. we're talking about piles of leaves everywhere and windy as well. wednesday lots of sunshine.
5:24 pm
upper for ease and then as we work into thursday here comes our next storm system that will come out of great lake states and there will be left over cold air from tomorrow and wednesday so thursday i do think it's going to start as some sleet, more so western new england than central and certainly not, i mean if you are waving us from anywhere inside 495 this is just a lily rain coming at us thursday evening. but likely there would be a burst of sleet pellets before it goes over to rain into worcestei you have one or two sleet pellets metrowest or the merrimack valley then we talk about beneficial rain thursday night into friday morning. those downs probably a half inch to an inch of rain and it's kind of cool and raw on friday. temperatures in the upper 40's. halloween right now dry, certainly no snow like five years ago but somewhat on the cool side. temperatures next monday upper 40's to around 50. see you at 5:30. >> anchor: wait until you see what the costumes i will bring
