public if you see him, call londonderry police right away. police tweeting out this picture of his car, a 1996 red honda civic hatch. i'm kim khazei, 7 news. >> ryan: police responding to an attempted robbery in west roxbury. an armed gunman went into the city of boston credit union bank just after 4:00, a boston police office time for a detail shift. the officer chased down the masked gunman, tackled and arrested the suspect. investigators haven't said whether the suspect got away with any money. also tonight we are learning more about a deadly stabbing spree that happened back in may and left two people dead. one of the deputiesies is speaking out. >> jadiann: he shot the attacker that night inside a crowded restaurant putting an end to the terror.

>> jadiann: did you see the last one with the royal logo, hospital in missouri so very fitting. talk about what is going on, a wet commute and wild weather. >> ryan: snow in the western part of the state. but a messy night out there. >> reporter: it is. south wind 5 miles an hour, that will begin to pick up later on this evening and more so after the midnight through the commute. rain and wind. rain and wind will be t southern new england. we have seen snow earlier today. snowing back through western new england. you notice the shadings of blew. more of a deeper blue. that is where you have the snow but even in those location this is air along the coastline, mild is relative. it's 45, you are like, that is cold and raw, correct. but that milder air will work up into western new england and change those snow flakes over to rain drops later on. here is where we have the

coded where the snow is happening and where you ever the rain as well. this might be a couple of sleet pellets happening. sometimes the radar will think it's seeing heavy rain but sometimes you have sleet pellets with rain drops mixing together. so confuses the radar a bit. there is the storm system right there. this will head towards southern new england later on tonight and through early tomorrow morning. as it gets closer to us the storm intensifies, that will crank up the wind and also crank up moisture and pull it up into southern new england with showers becoming more numerous and the wide spread rain later this even, even downpours and perhaps even some thunderstorms possible south coast and the cape. i don't think we'll have thunder concerns boston or metro west. but those are showers and downpours, on to the friday morning commute. 6:00 am the bulk of the rain is moving away. still some rain in the

taper off. but the concern overnight will be the fact that we'll have some briefly heavy rain. again this is great for the drought. streams and rivers and the ground can take this amount of rain but the storm drains struggle. then you add in factor of leaves in the drains. that may lead to localized street flooding very late after midnight and for the early part of the morning commute. if your commute doesn't get going until about 9:00 or 10:00 but 6:00, extra time because some of the streets prone to minor flooding, that might be something. as of right now there are no flood watches in effect. we'll welcome the rain. wince the first of september boston picked up 5 and a half inches of rain. worcester you are running above normal. in boston a bit below normal but for month of october boston is running above normal. a lot of clouds on saturday.
