the suspects took off in the victim's 2004 black cadillac deville recovered near the highway late today and prout to -- >> somebody binds you and holds you up at knife point looking for valuable, very troubling. >> reporter: state police helping to track down the suspects. while rattled residents are trying to understand how something like this could happen here. >> hopefully she is okay. awful. they must, to do something like that, that is awful. >> at this point it's just seems like it was not random. it was planned out. >> reporter: so here at headquarters police are hoping to begin to process the car they just recovered. again seven miles from the scene where all this happened and not far from the highway which is not far from police headquarters. they're working with state police trying to locate

public for help here. live in sterling tonight steve cooper, 7 news. >> adam: two major crashes during the busy evening commute. this one in middleboro. this was the scene of a route 44 west near 105. one of the cars burst into flames. you can see the shell of the vehicle if you look down there. torched. there you can see a truck rolled over. the road has been shut down. crews work to clear the scene. but it has since been reopened. one person is head-on crash in salem, new hampshire, on route 111. here, you can see at least two cars were involved in this crash. perhaps a head-on collision that has not been confirmed. it looks that way from this point. another victim was taken to the hospital by helicopter. >> kim: also on 7, thousands of toys meant for the children of military families torched in a fire. the toys were donations and organizers are scrambling to

>> adam: new details about monday's truck. the driver of the s.u.v. involved in the crash was cited for failing to stop for an emergency vehicle. the driver told police he heard the sirens but thought they were hit blind pim. he pulled into the intersection. >> kim: a driver is cited off a dangerous drive in lowell. the 27-year-old woman hit 4-year-old boy. she stopped, spoke with the boy's family then drove off. she is cited for leashing the scene of an accident with an injury. >> is there nothing to indicate any speed. the problem is she didn't stay. the witness followed the car for a while. within 10 minutes of that, another officer found the car on broadway. >> kim: local police have submitted an application with the r.m.v.against the

little below normal. jaffrey at 45 but here is the milder air. temperatures you move out of new england, warming dramatically. detroit at 74. cincinnati at 73. you go from 40s to 70's usually going to go through some weather system or storm. but not tonight. here is the warm front. it is the lead edge ever milder air. when you look at warm fronts sometimes you find bags of mixed precipitation but not tonight. a few clouds out not as cold. partly cloudy skies. low temperatures 40-46. those will be the temperatures early tomorrow morning when you are heading out the front door about 7:00 in the morning so you will notice it's not bitterly cold out here. through the day tomorrow, mix of clouds and sunshine. wardrobe more like october than november with temperatures tomorrow 63-68. norwood, attell blow make a run up near 70 as does much of the merrimack. fitchburg 67.
