3 now lets send it over to the pit crew traffic center. 3 we're watching: watching: 3 here's a live look at the s.c.d.o.t. cam on-- 3 3 3 this morning.. we're waiting to get an update on the standoff at an oregon wildlife refuge.. after one of the protesters was killed and the group's leader was arrested. arrested.tuesday night.. investigators say ammon bundy and several others were pulled over while heading to a community meeting.at some point, shots were fired, killing one of the protesters. he's been identified as "lavoy finnicum".. who has been one of the most outspoken protesters.ammon bundy and

bars.it's not clear how many protesters are still occupying the wildlife refuge.the group seized the refuge january second.. to protest the federal convictions of two ranchers. 3 3 covering our counties--a henderson county couple will not go to jail after a toddler was accidentally shot and killed in their home. home.heather and james stepp pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge. they were each given 45 days in jail, which was suspended. they will also serve a year of probation and pay a fine. fine.back in october.. two year old abagail newman was staying at the stepp's home.. when she was accidentally shot by a loaded shotgun that was left on a table.prosecutors say the case is a horrible tragedy... and they hoped for a quick resolution so everyone could move on. 3 this morning, all of our upstate school districts are now back on regular schedule. schedule.now some parents in greenville county say they need a better system for deciding when snow days should be used. used.as of now.. if one part of the county is too icy.. all schools close or have a delay. some parents are suggesting

3 welcome back to the morning news on fox carolina.you're taking a live look in washington, d.c. 3 3 new orleans fire fighters say they are battling a 6-alarm fire in a commercial building in the downtown area.crews are asking people in the area to stay away because of the fire's size.the fire chief says they first got the call around 3:30 this morning. investigators believe the fire started on the second floor but they're still working on the cause.rescue crews say one person was in the building but got out without injuries. 3 in seattle.. police are investigating a shooting at a homeless camp that left two people dead and three others hurt. hurt.police say the shooting happened just south of downtown, in a place known as

3 presidential candidate donald trump is making a campaign stop in the midlands today. today.this comes after his announcement that he won't take part in tomorrow's republican debate. debate.trump is citing his ongoing issues with fox news and host megyn kelly.he's accused kelly of being biased against him during a previous debate, and he called on the network to remove her as a moderator.fox news issued a statement saying they won't give in to his demands.they also say trump is still welcome at the debate and will be treated fairly if he participates. 3 here's a look at the field of 12 candidates..without trump.. the top seven will debate on the main stage in des moines tomorrow night.the remaining four candidates will debate at seven p-m. 3 the two democratic front-runners are now butting heads over whether they should have another debate. debate.leaders at the democratic national committee have come under fire for only scheduling six debates for this primary season.now.. msnbc and a new hampshire newspaper say they're doing their own debate next week.. ahead of that state's primary.
