happened around midnight in powdersville.troopers say a tow truck driver ran off of i-85 near mile marker 40.. went down an embankment and hit a tree.the coroner identified the driver as "william armstrong" from piedmont.he was not wearing a seatbelt.it's not clear what led up to the crash. 3 a second deadly crash happened in greenville county ararnd 2:00 this morning.this was the scene on white horse road and west blue ridge drive.troopers say a pickup truck tried to turn left in front of a tractor trailer, when they collided.the driver of the pickup had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital.hissassenger was killed.that person's name has not been released. 3 and in polk county--one lane of i-26 is shut down because of a deadly tractor trailer crash.right now, we don't have many details.. but we're told the accident happened around 2:30 this morning.i-26 east at exit 59 is down to one lane while troopers investigate.the road is expected to reopen by 10:00 this morning. 3 3 in a fox carolina follow up--a

staying in jail after deputies say he tried to kill his wife. wife.on thursday... a judge denied bond for johnathan babachelor... who's charged with attempted murder.his arrest came three weeks after his wife, stephanie, was shot multiple times.investigators say batchelor told them he had found her in the front yard of their home in moore.deputies say this week, the victim was finally able to tell them the attacker was her husband. 3 3 3 had she not improved enough to where we could interview her, i don't know where would be right now" now" 3 "it's a shock. it has been to everyone...of course to her, more than anyone." anyone."the victim is still in the hospital this morning. jonathan batchelor is due back in court in march. 3 3 the presidential candidates will be campaigning all across iowa this weekend.. ahead of monday's caucuses. caucuses.last night.. *most* of the republican candidates met up in des moines for another debate.tt top seven candidates debated in prime time on fox news.the party's frontrunner, donald trump, was
