carolina... presidential candidate donald trump is expected to have a repeat performance in nevada. nevada.that state's republican caucus gets underway at 8:00 eastern time tonight. tonight.the most recent poll from cnn shows trump with a whopping 45 percent of the votes.just like in south carolina.. marco rubio and ted cruz will be fighting for second place. 3 the democratic candidates are heading to south carolina, ahead of saturday's primary. hillary clinton and bernie sanders will take part in a cnn town hall in columbia tonight.we'll have more on today's other campaign stops in our next half hour. 3 3 covering our counties-- investigators in jackson county are working to figure out what caused a deadly fire. deputies were called to a home on "enchanted forest drive" in sylva around 7:30 sunday morning.we're told one person was found dead in the home. their name has not been released.deputies don't suspect foul play.state authorities are investigating. 3 a shooting in greer that sent one man to the hospital now has his neighbors scared... and on high alert. alert.people living in the

grant is part of the city's larger efforts to clean up abandoned homes.. and make improvements for existing homeowners on the north side. the city also granted 25- thousand dollars to hope ministries.that group is partnering with miracle hill to help homeless people get back on their feet. 3 paying it forward is something that people do daily....but a group of upstate police officers and their families experienced it first hand -after their dinner bill was taken care of. 3 this was the reciept that the table of officers and their families recieved after the tab was paid for at the los cabos bar and grill in inman. the woman who picked up the tab wrote "blue lives matter". 3 one of the restaurant owners said he was very surprised to hear the women wanted to pay a bill for so many people. he said the woman didn't want the officers knowing who she was. we got one of the officers reaction after he found out, here's what he has to say. 3 3 3 "it just floored a bunch of us, we were passing it down the table and a couple of the wives really thought it was special cause you know they see how the officers react to

prosecutor says a deadly shooting rampage was totally random. random.investigators say "jason dalton" shot 6 people to death saturday and injured 2 others.he appeared in court monday and was denied bond.a prosecutor says dalton was not targeting anyone in particular and a motive may never be known.uber's security chief says several customers complained about dalton but they had no reason to believe he was doing anything suspicious. 3 white house staff will submit a plan to congress today to shut down the detention facility at guantanamo bay. bay.defense leaders say the plan will cost up to 475- million dollars but shutting down the facility will save 180-million dollars a year. authorities say less dangerous prisoners will be shipped to facilities over-seas.the president says he's working with the defense department to move about 60 prisoners to the u-s. 3 3 30 of the brightest students in the upstate will embark on an incredible journey this summer.. summer..and those students could be you..or perhaps your kids.. kids..fox carolina's joe

now.we've been following this story for months.the company "m-r-r" is suing the county for 25 million dollars.. because they want to dump coal ash at a landfill in liberty. the plan has drawn a lot of protests from neighbors.now, a judge is denying a request from m-m-r to move the case forward quicker.in the meantime, state senator larry martin is working on legislation that could also block the company's plan. 3 members of an activist group say they're upset at a cross built into an oconee county building. building.the cross is built into a porch at a seneca water treatment plant.reps with the freedom from religion foundation say it needs to be removed because it violates the constitution.the cross was built last year in memory of a liberty man who worked at the site in 2014.people in the area say they disagree with the group and think the cross should stay. 3 good morning, joe-- joe-- 3 there's a great opportunity coming up for high schoolers who love science and math. we're live in spartanburg with
