3 in a developing story 3 a new filing tonight - in the ongoing legal battle surrounding the death of clemson student tucker hipps. hipps.you'll recall the 19 year old died in september of 2014 while on an early morning run with his fraternity brothers.that fraternity - sigma phi epsilon filed a response to the hipps family's wrongful death lawsuit - and they're denying any responsibility for tucker's death. death.the fraternity denies hipps' fall, injuries and death from the highway 93 bridge over lake hartwell was caused by fraternity brothers' gross negligence and recklessness, and that any injuries or damages sustainedwere caused by hipps' - quote "own negligence and comparative fault" sig ep also denies clemson had investigated numerous violations of the student conduct code by the local chapter in the fall semester

now to some new information 3 the flu vaccine- is doing a better job this year- compared to last year. 3 preliminary data says the vaccine is more-effective this year. the report comes from a committee-that reports to the c-d-c. they say the vaccine is a better match to the strains that are making people sick. you'll recall last year - the flu vaccine was far less effective because the virus had mutated.that led the cdc to declare an epidemic - but so far this year - the flu season has been notably slow. the comittee's report also says-doctors no longer need to watch patients 30-minutes
