university parkway in aiken. the rally starts at 11 on monday morning, doors open at 9:30. wis is following the presidential candidates as they make their rounds through the palmetto state. for more on our decision 2016 coverage visit our website wistv.com. right now, one man is in jail for shooting a car thief. kershaw county investigators arrested 49- year-old jimmy methe of camden after he shot and killed a 17 year old boy. early this morning deputies were called out to a home in east camden for reports of a shooting. methe met the deputies and told them he caught two people stealing items from his truck. he shot one as they tried to run away - killing him. he is charged with voluntary a bond hearing is set for next week. a fire off of garners ferry road ripped through a home early saturday afternoon. columbia fire crews responded to

'there are no words' is performed as a single movement --- meant to symbolize the grief and shock that can follow tragic events like mass shootings. the concert band will perform it again in charleston next saturday. it was a big night for the richland one school district in columbia last night. the district hosted its annual hall of fame gala. the event is held to honor the best and brightest alumni from richland one schools -- who have made significant contributions to the district, their professions and society. wis's own meaghan norman was the host for yesterday's awards. in all six graduates of richland one joined the hall of fame. funds raised from the gala also go to benefit the district's academic all stars -- as well as support grants for teachers. birthday board

turned himself in. police say one student at bethune cookman university was killed in the shooting in daytona beach yesterday morning. two others were injured, including one in critical condition. investigators say lamont postell jr. shot them after a fight at a party. he's facing murder and attempted murder charges. in pennsylvania, state police say at least three people were killed and several others injured after dozens of vehicles slammed into each other on interstate 78.

visibility were the prime factors in yesterday morning's accident. the pileup left tractor- trailers, box trucks and cars tangled together across three lanes of traffic and into the snow- covered median. the united nations reported today that civilian casualties in afghanistan rose to record levels for the seventh year in a row in 2015. the u-n said at least three-thousand-545 civilians died and more than 74-hundred were injured by fighting last year - a four percent increase over 2014. ground engagements were the leading cause of civilian casualties at 37 percent, followed by roadside bombs at 21 percent and suicide attacks at 17 percent. "we recognize that all the parties to the conflict have agreed on the need to avoid civilian causalities but what we need to see are the same parties going beyond public statements to change the way they
