investigators have released video of a cayce policeman who was shot while trying to make an arrest last november. "listen to me, put your hands behind your back. don't tense up--you're tensing up. i'ma tell you...no, i'm trying to explain to you." "listen to me, you're pulling away." "you got my hand man." "you're being charged with resisting now. you're being charged with resisting." shots fired the video was released by the cayce department of public safety monday, and was taken the night of november 17th. officers were called to the scene on lorick street, where they tried to arrest 21-year-old demetrius bryant on a drug violation. bryant then fired at them--hitting one of the officers. the other officer fired back, killing bryant. yesterday, the cayce department of public safety announced that a sled investigation has cleared officer rhett kelley and

credited for helping deputies arrest a woman accused of making threats. 18-year old delijah robinson is charged with having a weapon on school grounds. students reported robinson sending threatening messages to their phones following a dispute, and told a school resource officer. robinson was later confronted by the officer in the school's parking lot. deputies found a gun in the front passenger seat of robinson's car. she was taken to the alvin s. glenn detention center. investigators say a midlands restaurant owner may have shot and killed a man because he was involved with his wife. it happened sunday night at a park-and-ride location off of highway 378 in lexington county. warrants from lexington police state the victim was in the back seat of a pickup truck with greg leon's wife when leon fired several shots into the vehicle. she was not injured. leon had previously been linked to the federal indictment against former lexington county sheriff james metts...and received one year probation. he's now charged with murder. over the past several years, you've likely noticed some construction and improvements happening at the

coast guard officials are expected to focus on the events that led up to the sinking of the ship. that includes previous voyages the el faro made as well as the coast guard's search and rescue efforts. a second hearing will focus on the voyage itself that took the lives of all 33 people on board. occupier cliven bundy is expected to be in court today. he'll answer to charges brought against him from an armed confrontation back in 2014 that forced federal officials to release cattle being rounded up near his ranch in nevada. bundy is the first to face charges in what some hailed as a victory in the fight to turn over federal land to state control. bundy's son ammon staged an armed sit-in on federal land in oregon for the same issue. the white house says president obama will make his first visit to vietnam in may. the announcement came after the president met with vietnam's prime minister at a summit with southeast asian leaders in california. the president's visit this spring will be a side trip while in the region for the "group of seven" summit in japan. president opbama will become the third straight

the naacp may call for civil disobedience over the water crisis in flint, michigan. the association's president, cornell brooks, has given michigan's embattled governor 30 days to come up with a timeline for fixing flint's water problems. brooks also says he wants governor rick snyder to say how much the repairs will cost. flint's drinking water has continued to have elevated levels of lead. the naacp says more would be done to fix the water problems if flint as a city was wealthier. investigators in texas are working to find out what

the naacp may call for civil disobedience over the water crisis in flint, michigan. the association's president, cornell brooks, has given michigan's embattled governor 30 days to come up with a timeline for fixing flint's water problems. brooks also says he wants governor rick snyder to say how much the repairs will cost. flint's drinking water has continued to have elevated levels of lead. the naacp says more would be done to fix the water problems if flint as a city was wealthier. crews from the national weather service will be out in florida today to survey some damage after suspected tornadoes touched down along the state's pandhandle. officials say one of the apparent twisters swept through the area north of pensacola. at least 10 homes were reportedly destroyed, but no injuries were reported.
