yesterday as a warming shelter. were told it was a very busy night here--and the group expects it to stay busy in the coming days. work to prepare the basement of the chapel at 81st and lapham in west allis began yesterday afternoon. they encourage folks without a home to join them inside and escape the cold-- this group is one of several in southeast wisconsin-- making sure people stay safe as the temperatures dip. at the impact 2-1-1 call center--resource connect callers with the help they're looking for. assisting many in finding shelter. with more predicted cold--headed this way--each group gets ready for what's ahead. so that this dangerous weather--is safer for some of the area's most vulnerable. 12:34 hangout and keep warm, maybe play some games, eat some food, have a nice sleeping bag and find out some resources. the 'feeding his flock' emergency shelter will continue to operate

someone you know needs shelter, call 2-1-1. you can be connected to needed resources. reporting live in west allis, julie collins. fox 6 news. meanwhile... the state of wisconsin... warning drivers about an increased risk of hitting black ice this weekend. angelica's in the newsroom with the very latest. the department of transportation is warning drivers to be cautious on the roads this weekend. with high winds and drifting snow expected... road conditions could be create a higher risk for black ice... which is often mistaken for wet or newly paved roads. so what do you need to look out for? pavement that looks dark, wet or like new asphalt.... low-lying areas that may have standing water or run off from nearby melting snow banks or puddles... bridges and underpasses... and any road areas which are shaded from the sun. the department of transportation is reminding drivers to clear snow and ice from all windows... and watch for slippery bridge decks.

an entire police force... gone within a single week. in bunker hill, indiana... the marshall and reserve deputies all resigned without warning earlier this week. they had complained about the town council's unethical requests and mismanagement. the marshall says he was asked to checks on other board members. county deputies will now patrol the streets until a new police force is hired. new surveillance video is released... from last month's deadly shooting at will rogers world airport in oklahoma city. in it... 45 year old llyod boo-ee buie can be seen strolling in a parking garage... just minutes before he would shoot and kill michael winchester... a southwest airlines employee.the video shows buie arriving at that garage four days before the shooting... parking his truck on the second level... and then

oregon... thanks to a winter storm. this... as snow covered roads create dangerous driving conditions in indianapolis. angelica is here with more. commuters were stuck for hours in the portland metro area during rush hour last night. thousands of vehicles could barely move... with at least five crashes reported in a 20-mile stretch just east of the city. portland does not salt its roads for environmental reasons... and because it rarely snows there. in indiana... drivers struggled to stay on the roads on one indianapolis street... and the sle caught on camera. "watch out luella, watch out , watch out everyone!" thud shriek the man who shot this video says drivers kept spinning out... because of a comcast truck sitting on a hill. the man can be heard in the video telling comcast employees to put cones out warning drivers... because they couldn't see the truck until it was too late. comcast's truck

one billion accounts may have been affected in a security breach by an "unauthorized third party." the breach dates back to 20-13 and from a massive cybersecurity incident announced in september... in which at least 500 million accounts were hacked. the stolen data may have included names, email addresses and passwords, but not financial information. the company will notify users who may be affected and has begun requiring users to change their passwords. the security incident is likely one of the largest cybersecurity breaches ever. amazon... making its first drone delivery to a customer. a man in the united kingdom

apple an android devices. a racine sanitation worker is killed on the job. officials say mark gates was collecting recyclables on his route yesterday morning when a car crashed into his garbage truck. gates was flown to froedtert hospital where he later died. he was also the pastor at christ chapel in racine. church members say he did a lot for the community... "he meant a lot to the whole community he wasnt just a city worker he was a father figure to for every child in the community" racine police are still investigating what caused the crash. anyone with information is asked to give them a call. in sheboygan county... the body of a lakeland university student was found in a pond on campus yesterday... leaving his friends devastated. i mean, he was a good dude. just a genuine guy. kaelin o'neal had been missing since sunday morning. the

quarterback on the school's football team. the sheriffs office says there is no indication of foul play-- but they're still trying to figure out how o'neal--who's from north carolina-- ended up in the water. a man has his truck stolen and decides to follow the thieves! the entire chase-- streamed live on facebook! daunte don-tay ealy says he stepped away from his truck for a moment at 83rd and florist when teens jumped in and drove off.ealy says he convinced a stranger driving by, to allow him to jump in and tail he says when they realized he was following, they ditched the truck, and jumped into a second stolen car. that's when ealy hit record, and followed hoping to get back other stolen items. the high-speed chase traveled on snowy roads... even on the wrong side of the road. eventually the teens got away. i guess i was doing it out of anger because i was mad, because they took my car and messed up the bumper, and took some personal stuff so i was very heated at the time. ealy admits in hindsight, the chase was a mistake since it

forces of firing at ambulances trying to leave aleppo. at least three people are injured... and possibly one dead. a planned evacuation was supposed to start this morning...with buses and ambulance ready to take the injured out of aleppo. a ceasefire deal between the rebels and the syrian government collapsed yesterday... with both sides blaming the other for its failure. that evacuation... being pushed off to today. also new overnight - legist becomes law... without president obama's signature. earlier this month... congress approved a 10 year extension of the 1996 iran sanctions act with near unanimous support... in an effort to target iran's energy, military and banking sectors. the white house had called the bill "unnecessary" because the president already retains the authority to waive sanctions lifted as part of the nuclear deal reached with iran. the iranian president says these sanctions violate terms of that deal - and vowed to respond if they

minnesota police officer who killed a black man during a traffic stop this summer... are calling for charges against him to be dismissed. angelica's following that story and more from across america. st. anthony officer jeronimo yanez's attorneys filed a motion saying philando castile was negligent in his own death... because he was under the influence of t-h-c while driving... and ignored yanez's commands. in court documents... yanez's defense team argued a review of squad video from that night... backed up the officer's claim that he was acting in self during a traffic stop in july... sparking protests across the country after a facebook live video of the shooting emerged. the officer faces multiple charges including manslaughter. closing arguments are set for today in dylann roof's murder trial. the self-declared white supremacist has previously confessed to killing nine people in a church in charleston, south carolina. the defense rested without calling any witnesses... after the judge ruled they couldn't present evidence about his mental health. roof could face the death

and obstruction of religion. in pennsylvania... bill cosby's lawyers are attacking his accusers... for having what they call "vague, remote and inconsistent" allegations. cosby is charged with aggravated indecent assault, for an alleged attack on andrea constand 12-years ago. a pre-trial hearing is underway... over whether 13 other women who leveled similar accusations against cosby can be allowed to testify. his lawyers claim the potential witnesses are "bandwagon" accusers who came they could cash in. but prosecutors say those witnesses would show cosby had a history of drugging and molesting women. president-elect donald trump... meetign with some of the top tech leaders in the country. he told the group "we're here to help you folks do well." many tech leaders in silicon valley opposed mr. trump's campaign... with more than 140 people signing a public letter against him at one point. they expressed concerns that his policies could stifle innovations... but yesterday... mr. trump said his

innovations move forward. for the first time this year... and just the second time this decade... the federal reserve is raising its key interest rate. that rate was raised by a quarter of a percent yesterday. the fed slashed rates to zero in 2008... in the midst of the financial crisis... and kept it there during the great recession and beyond. yesterday's move could be the first of more, with the fed hinting it could raise rates at a faster pace next year. today is the deadline to sign up for insurance coverage if you want it to start on january first. about the affordable care act's future once president-elect trump takes office... but for the moment nothing has changed. sign ups are at a record pace since the presidential election... with more than four million people selecting policies for 2017 through the federal exchange. that's an increase of more than 250- thousand from last year. free help will be available today at independence first in milwaukee. it's taking place from 9 a-m to 4 p-m. you will need legal documents like your social security number..and w-2

froedtert health say they saw an increase of revenue in the third quarter of 2016. but both say they saw a decrease in profits for that same period. aurora posted a revenue of 1-point- 25-billion in the three months ending september 30th -- while froedtert posted a revenue of 517-million-dollars. united way of greater milwaukee and waukesha county... breaking records during its annual community campaign. the organization says it brought in more than 60-point-1 million dollars... and surpase volunteer goal... reaching 21-thousand 124 volunteer hours during its annual "season of caring." its second campaign since the merger of the two united way organizations. the money will go toward more than 100 health and human service agencies in milwaukee, waukesha, ozaukee and washington counties. happening now - three state lawmakers... calling for milwaukee county sheriff david clarke to resign for quote "grossly" mismanaging his office... in the midst of four deaths at the county jail. the sheriff's response: he says he's being attacked by
